OPAT (outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy) is related to a number of risks for healthcare readmission. The primary aim of the research is to clarify risk factors connected to thirty-day readmissions in those who were discharged with outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy at MSBI (Mount Sinai Beth Israel).

Qualitative study

Level of Evidence

The median age of the two hundred adult patients who were involved in the study was sixty years. While sixty-five points five percent were males the rest were females and the median score was two. Seventy-eight percent of the patients which is one hundred and fifty-five patients received PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter), and the remaining patients were discharged with a midline.
