Introduction
'Every cloud has a silvers lining,' meaning that individuals should never give up hope because of difficult times as they will eventually lead to better times. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, governments and citizenry have been forced to take extraordinary measures to stop the spread. One of the ways is the lockdown, where people are confined to their homes. It is similar to jail only that individuals are in their homes. The circumstances are challenging, because people who are used to the freedom of movement. However, people have been forced to develop ways to adapt to these circumstances.

Lockdown life has given individuals time to reflect on themselves and what is essential. For a majority of individuals, this means reaching out the long-lost ties with relatives and old friends, because work and school schedules have significantly reduced. A majority of people have reported reaching out to their siblings, cousins, and other relatives they could maintain contact with before. Secondly, families are spending more time together. Additionally, young people have developed new and better ways of serving or presentation of dishes to gain likes, shares, and following on social media. Further, due to the constant collision within the house, these young minds have developed tremendous problem-solving skills and ability within and without their confined spaces. One of the areas that have significantly benefited from the lockdown is the environment, particularly the air. Though scientists warn that it is short-term, the effects so far are tremendous. People are no longer going to their regular schools and workplaces, meaning less use of the vehicle. The reduced use of cars means decreased emissions to the environment resulting in reduced air pollution. In Punjab India, reports indicate that people can view the snow peaks of the Himalayas, a view that has been hidden for decades. Cities with the highest smog, such as Los Angeles, have clear blue skies as the nitrogen levels drop significantly. Wild animals are often seen roaming freely in the parks as there are no distractions from human activities. The level of solid waste scattered around, especially the parks, has significantly reduced since people are forced to be more responsible with the waste around their house, improving environmental cleanliness.
