Introduction

Good Afternoon, Bahrain One, thank you for having me on your channel today. My name is Ian, 20 years of age, and a citizen of the USA. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the travel and tourism industry negatively. The most affected sector is the economic sector, which has led to a drastic drop in the levels of Gross Domestic Product. Besides that, it has affected specific individuals, for it serves as a source of employment to ten percent of global employment opportunities. Having caused such effects, do we expect the country's revenues to increase? (Chinazzi & Viboud et.al, 2020).

In my thinking, this pandemic has globally affected the lifestyles of almost all people. For example, think of the celebrities who earn their living through music, comedy, and acrobatics. They are struggling to adapt to the imposed rules and regulations by the World Health Organization of maintaining social distancing and quarantining themselves in their places of residence. This effect does not affect only celebrities but also others for they do not go to work as usual and enjoy freedom as before and hence making life more complicated. Implementing the strict quarantine measures is also costing governments much as they have to go an extra effort of giving various sectors incentives to ensure that said is done.

Personally, it feels so difficult to adapt to the new lifestyle, which is very different from the one I am used to. At first, it seemed like a blessing in disguise for am now witnessing the results of compliance to the rules by the health sector globally. I know it does not affect myself alone, but even them that are surrounding me. For instance, an entrepreneur who is just an adjacent neighbor in my area of residence is finding it devastating to stay indoors during this threatening moment because he cannot earn from elsewhere. Due to this, he sometimes risks attending to his shop just to break a leg. Many others are emulating the same methodologies to survive in other places and so giving the head of states hard times to implement the precautions to the corona epidemic. However, it may seem as ignorance for citizens to abide by the set measures, but at some level, it is not.

As I had earlier said, this epidemic has adversely affected the travel and tourism industries. Many countries across the globe have canceled flights in and out, transportation of goods and services, and vehicles from operating to prevent the rapid spread of the corona virus. As these countries are on the ball to ensure that they comply with World Health Organization measures, they are also experiencing challenges such as reduced revenue, economic crisis, as businesses are not operating and citizens losing their jobs. Due to this, Governments are spending a lot of finance to compensate for its citizens by giving food and other resources to both the rich and the poor (Mckibbin & Fernando, 2020).

The tourism sector is a source of revenue for most countries with attraction sites, especially in Africa. Nevertheless, due to shuttered borders, closure of airports, and flight cancellations, the sector is not reliable. This has led to reduced revenues and gross domestic products as compared to before. In addition to that, all the employment opportunities under tourism have been affected, leading to job shortage.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the coronavirus spread over the world has affected various sectors in the economy negatively. In entrepreneurship, the levels of income have gone down because the most inter-country exchange of goods and services have stopped. Production is affected because the production companies are closing. Sincerely, where there is no production, there cannot be business and hence no profits. Adapting to new lifestyles is difficulty complicating implementation processes. It calls everyone to be keen on the precautions given for his safety. Finally, let us pray over the pandemic to be over. Thanks once more for giving me the chance to share my thoughts through your channel.
