This being the case, the key players of the industry will make use of the IT specialists as technologies will be used in carrying almost all the activities that fall in the category (Russo et al., 2017). Doctors will use technology in treating mental illness. This will be in the form of an effective way of exposure therapy.

The responsibilities of a correction officer include protecting and monitoring inmates and ensuring federal rules regulations and rules that are explained by the Department of justice. The officers will need to take part in the training before embarking on providing services to a particular correctional facility. The personnel needs to train in the security procedures that they follow every day. The systems that the officers are supposed to undertake include procedures on how to search an inmate or an area. It is worth noting that the lack of being trained could cause problems as the officer will not be in the passion of avoiding actions that can bring more challenge to the overall operations (Correctionalofficer.org, 2018). Communication is the other important skill that a correctional officer should put into consideration to ensure that their services are of the highest quality. Communication skills range from official reporting in the form of documents and communicating orally to inmates, co-officers, and superiors that characterizes the working environment of a correction officer.

Moreover, an individual to provide services under the industry of correction facilities should ensure that he or she is updated regarding technology. This is important as prior knowledge will be of importance to them in general. This reasoning behind this is on the concept that the career is highly dependent on the use of equipment that is being affected by technological changes. The implication is that, for one to be able to succeed in the provision of services in this industry, one should be ready to undergo training in various areas that include, understanding their rights, rights of the criminals, as well as knowledge on criminal justice (Learn.org, 2018). There is also a need to have much experience of the facility policies and personal care. The approach is much of benefit to the individuals pursuing a career in providing services for correction facilities as they will attract a relatively more significant salary than an individual who has less knowledge on the services of a correction officer.
