Unfavorable climatic conditions in Australia have become an issue of concerned from not only the government, but also the public due to its implications to the economic growth. According (Bennett 8), Human activities are the main causes that have instigated the poor climatic conditions. The major issues of concerns are the rise in temperature, increase in bushfires, and water shortages, floods, and cyclones all over the country.

The country has been largely depending on coal as the main source of energy. The use of Coal has highly contributed to the increase in heat. The increase in the consumption for coal energy is due exorbitant prices in electricity and the poor federal government policies. The Australians believe that coal as the main cause of the increased heat changes. The government has been reluctant to listen to the public cry on the need to shift from the life-threatening fossil fuel production to the use of renewable resources such as the solar system. Recently, the Australia government has designed plans to increase the supply of coal which is an inconsistent move against the need for reduction of carbon emissions in an effort to regulate the heat temperatures (Bennett 18).

However, in an attempt to reduce the gradual heat in Australia, the government along with 190 member states joined a treaty known as Paris Climate Agreement (PCA), who unanimously agreed to implement policies that have will decrease global warming. The Australian government was committed to reducing carbon almost 30% before 2013. In this regard, the government has directed the electricity companies to reduce their carbon emissions by about 55 % to meet the threshold directed by the PCA. The public has been pushing the government to take full responsibility in putting policies that will harness the climatic changes instead on relying on the international call for environmental conservations (Bunnet 20).

Bunnet (10), continues to argue that the natural disasters that are caused by the climatic changes have been increasing the cost of the budget by more than $ 9billion and the costs to manage these disasters is expected to more than double within the next two decades. The government has not yet taken enough amicable preventive measures towards the devastating climatic conditions. The government has provided little funding to overcome the disastrous climate.
