School Demographic
This aspect focuses on the school, its resources, locality as well as traditions. The school's environment dictates the kind of students it enrolls, one of them being the number of families around the school's vicinity. The consequence of this is that there are some activities that the students will not do together, but it does not mean that they are learning distinct content. The point is creating a model that suits each case with an absolute match to their needs, and this is because each student deserves excellent academic assistance. The individual needs of the school include students with dyslexia, physical deformations as well as acquired brain injury. Their unique needs affect their education capabilities and abilities and therefore, a special learning program is ideal for their successful teaching. The class is quite large since there is a total of 35 students of which 20 are males while the remaining are females. 80% of the students in the classroom are indigenous natives while the remaining 20% is a composition of immigrants from different nationalities, and this is an indicator of additional diversity. Their ages range in between 14 to 16 years. The results posted by these students paint a clear picture of variable academic abilities, and the difference is as a result of their differences. Some of the students are sharp and are quick learners, and at the same time, there are slow learners. The quick learners only need to concentrate in class during the issuance of instructions by teachers. The converse of this is the slow learning in other students. Such students must re-read multiple times to grasp the concepts. In addition to this, there are also students who show a sharp improvement in their performance as well as those who never seem to improve, and even worse, their performance declines with time. All of these factors translate into the need for a curriculum that combs every sect of the student population, and this is because of the chaos that will result from combining all of these students in one class as well as employing similar teaching patterns. It is an implication that there's need for special education. The fact is, students with special needs and disabilities need an additional and unique approach to execution of teaching. Sometimes the teacher will have to take them through the lessons in person and individually. Such things may waste time for the apt pupils who wish to learn quickly and move on. As a result, individual learning plan arises out of such challenges and this specifically applies to students who are eligible for special training.

No single method entirely suits students who have autism because these individuals display different skills, abilities, and different learning habits. As a result, there's a great need for an established educational pedagogy that takes care of their academic needs, and one of the ways of achieving this is designing learning profiles for such students. To serve as an example, let us pick on Wesley as a sample to represent the autism group of learners.
A learning profile is a necessary tool for teachers as it informs the best methods and approaches in providing actionable teaching to respective students with varying abilities and being a transitional institution, the method will be instrumental in ensuring that no student lag behind others. The goal is to ensure a smooth transition among all students.
Baxter is a stage 8 student displaying severe sensory difficulties. The consequence of this is poor communication skills, difficulty in interacting freely with fellow students. He posts poor performance in mathematics alongside a slow learning pattern while in class. In addition to this, he often misspells even basic words that you do not expect him to.
His condition in the classroom implies that there will be no significant progress in teaching the lessons because he will require constant repetitions. Additionally, his poor communication skills will isolate him from the rest of the class because he can not interact freely with his classmates.

As part of his achievements, Baxter has been able to maintain regular class attendance, consistent performance in mathematics and at times improve his mean score. His academic performance is evidence enough to prove that he can perform better, with time, upon establishment of a robust learning plan for him.
Communication
First of all, there's need to create an environment that will make him feel at home like the rest of the classroom, and this is only achievable by lowering down to him and talking to him gently. After that, elimination of any distractions is necessary for effective communication. The benefit of this is that he will concentrate all his focus on the teaching as well as making him comfortable.
For clear understanding and grasp of the concepts, diagrams, pictures as well as videos are essential, and each of these requires a clear point demonstration as the learning progresses. However, the class schedule must be flexible enough not to scare him. A tight schedule with a rigorous learning process will only scare him, thus undermining his confidence and focus.
Social interaction
It all has to do with his best skills and likes. Baxter is delighted and enjoys storytelling. The only way to exploit these attributes is encouraging him to tell stories in the classroom to his fellow students. To complement this, the "buddy system" is crucial in that the free interaction he emulates will allow him to accommodate his colleagues who wish to help in both socially and academically. To sum it up, regular interaction forums is technically productive because it will create a culture of interaction, and this is an act that needs a lot of promotion and motivation.
Behavior
Autism students suffer from memory loss, and this can agitate because they tend to repeat the very behavior you work hard to shun. Ideally, teaching simple behavior such as the application of etiquette is one thing and maintaining such the practice of these behaviors is another thing altogether. Therefore, applauding their efforts in emulating his efforts in practicing the behaviors is essential as it is a motivation for him to keep up with efforts. To stress this idea, parents and guardians' involvement in this activity is entirely beneficial. They will be a source of information about the environment at home and the behavior at home.
Background - learning difficulties
Like any other autism victim, Baxter faces communication challenges, such as repetition of words and phrases, and this may happen out of the present context. However, he becomes dull and become unresponsive to calls and requests as well as laughing or crying excessively at times.
Secondly, he does not feel free to share his feelings and emotions with his colleagues. He prefers spending his time alone and never wants to make eye contacts with anyone. Consequently, he tends to use nonverbal modes of communication

Baxter prefers spending his time alone and doing his things on his own. He majorly focuses on completing his assignments by himself.
He is able to post remarkable improvement in class activities as well as co-curricular activities.

Learning goals are negotiated with the student. As this is a unit in a specific curriculum area we will only choose one learning goal per each student with complex learning difficulties. They are measurable within the time frame of the unit.

It also provides other learning opportunities such as public speaking and talks that improves the confidence of students, which is essential for their speaking skills.
A learning culture is also necessary for the classroom. It comes with the outlining of the importance of content to be taught alongside its expectations, achievements as well as the student's pride in working towards achieving the desired goals. In English, for instance, the goal is to develop mastery of the language and ensuring proper usage of the language.
