From the first part of the video, we can see the teacher engaging the child through his interested object "his bicycle." The bicycle cycling presented a real-world problem that draws the child to want to learn more about it. The driving force on the boy makes the teacher for challenging the boy to bring out through the picture on the mechanism that causes the bicycle move. The engagement enabled the student to explore and discuss his findings that he gains through imagination.

From the videos above, we see the teacher assessing the child's knowledge by engaging him in a discussion that makes him explain the gear mechanism created by the paddle and the chain.
