Introduction

Aesthetic value is the value that an object, state of affairs or event possesses in its capacity to elicit a positive or a negative value when experienced appealingly (Stecker 15). Everything has its value in a variety of valuable ways. Art objects may have historical, sentimental or financial benefits. The aesthetical value possessed by an artwork is expressed in the experience the artwork provides when it is appropriately engaged (Sluiter and Rosen 47). Existing research on aesthetics mainly focuses on art as sociologists emphasize on "bringing art down." Current research needs to expand the categories of aesthetics and not restrict it to formal artwork features but also offer interactions with other aspects of cognitive, contextual and moral factors. Emerging fields should also expand the scope of aesthetic values beyond arts and include other objects (Hegel 58).

The article draws on research projects including photographic practices, writers, filmmakers and research that argue selfies are a form of social, cultural and media phenomenon than a representation of an image. The author further contends that selfies should be redirected from the "object itself" part and understood as a socio-technical phenomenon that holds different elements together in mediated digital communication. The article vividly describes the combination of visual, material and digital factors in creating a new form of surveillance. The new structure reshapes what is private and public to generate more efficient methods that are powerful. The author also argues that philosophers need to move their focus from visual narratives and focus on social-technical practices that constitute the descriptions. Grasping the complexity of how technologies operate visually requires a critical stance. The book expounds on the framework of absolute idealism which can account for the relationship between nature, art, history and the state of mind (Hegel, Georg 38). The ideas of Hegel on "account of reality" are important in the precursor to Marxism and continental philosophy. Ultimately, George Wilhelm believed that the mind is comprised of several ideas that are contradictory but unified that do not cancel other or reduce the importance of each other. According to Hegel, as much as the fundamental nature of existence is revealed, its significance was on a decline. Art gives a physical and sensory depiction of the absolute where it offers a simple combination of content and form (Hegel, Georg 87). Art gives people the ability to see the world in a form which does not exist in reality. According to Hegel, "introduction lectures on art" his opinions, mindset, complex and revolutionary ideas on art are divided into chapters that have multiple parts and outlines. His arguments and counter-arguments can be compared to other philosophers and philosophical theories of his time.

Alcaraz Leon, Maria Jose. "Aesthetics Makes Nothing Happen? The Role of Aesthetic Properties in the Constitution of NonAesthetic Value." The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism 76.1 (2018): 21-31.

The contemporary aesthetic discussion has had an important theme of the relationship between moral and cognitive values and aesthetic values. The article explores the relationship between cognitive values, moral values, and aesthetic values. In addition to few exceptions, most of the contributions are on issues on moral and cognitive values and how they affect the aesthetic values of an artwork. The author explores the aesthetic properties of merits and their role in the explanation of moral and cognitive features. The author argues that a proper account of interactionism should meet the autonomy constraint and the relevance constraint. In conclusion, the author clarifies the possibility of aesthetic properties and their contribution to other values through appealing to expressions and aesthetic properties useful characters. The article further provides an example that reasonably exemplifies the phenomenon. Admittedly, the article's publication in 2018 more than qualifies it for this research paper since it is current and appropriate for the research paper.

Brubaker, David Adam. "The Private Character of Natural Beauty: Shanshui Painting as a Model for Unity of Self and Natural Environment."

The article describes the appreciation of aesthetics as nature and not a resource for exploitation. The author points out that environmental beauty uses the unit of a subject and object to provide a sense of home. However, the author argues that the display of natural environment should remain private. The model of shahshui painting is used for inspection, and the author goes on to suggest that the individual character of the natural environment about shanshui paintings should not be described in analytical philosophy and object-oriented pragmatism language. Conversely, the paradigm of individual contact suggests that aesthetics can institutionally emerge after an agreement to break away from the late-modern Euro-American discourses of art strict adherence. The article also points out that automatically dismissing any account of personal contact with the environment expressed in different terms other than objects and material events is a mistake.
