Plastic surgery refers to the art of medicine and science that involves surgical specialities involves the reconstruction and also restoration of the body figures. Reconstructive surgery reconstructs parts of the body image to improve its appearance, cosmetic build-up image, and also ensure it is functioning.

Most common cosmetic medical procedures are conducted throughout the world. The cosmetic surgical procedures include Breast enhancement and reduction, eyelid surgery facelifts, also known as rhinoplasty, to make one as beautiful as a peacock. Plastic surgery tends to have its vast advantages and disadvantages or also complications that arise when one undergoes plastic surgery.

Advantages

Enhances Self-Confidence

When one improves appearance, it enhances and aids in building up one's self-confidence (Nakamoto and Goldenberg 2). One will be able to open up to society and embrace new ideas too. A person may also decide to try new clothing that fits up with the new image in this modern world.

Improve One's Health

Plastic surgical procedures also aid in improving one's health. The rhinoplasty surgery includes reshaping of the nose, thus facilitating in easy breathing (Carlucci et al.,8 ). Breast enhancement and reduction tend to improve on the body figure and shape, thus attracting the other sexes, and this will make someone value one's self a lot.

Improves Mental Health

It aids in improving how one views the world. People with body flaws tend to develop social anxiety and cannot freely intermingle with persons from different walks of life. Thus, someone becomes stressed up and develops social phobias.

Build One’s Future

People who are described as more attractive and eye-catching, always use beauty as a professional ground (Carlucci et al., 7). The attractive persons also join the economic's field, since attractive business agents aid in improving the company's image and also attracting new customers.

Cutting off One’s Weight

Plastic surgeries include the elimination of excessive body fats to improve body image and prevent one from being as fat as a pig. Elimination of excessive fat is essential since it aids in reducing of chances of getting health-related diseases that include hypertension and also high blood pressure (Sweis et al., 952). The surgical procedures also motivate someone to maintain a healthy diet and undergo health programs to check one's weight.

Disadvantages

Though plastic surgery seems to be essential and aids in improving one's image, it has its complications that tend to arise. The complications include the following;

Risk of Developing Haematomas

Haematomas refers to clotting of blood, that resembles a painful marking or also bruise. It arises mostly after facelift surgery in many patients that have undergone cosmetic surgery.

Formation of Seroma

Seroma refers to a condition when serum forms and accumulates beneath the surface of the skin (Brandstetter and Patel 522). Seromas tend to form infections that affect someone's health. It is mostly related to the tummy tuck surgical procedure.

Infections

Infections tend to arise since someone is opened up at a theatre and exposed to microbes, and also, the theatre may not have been sterilized thoroughly (Brandstetter and Patel 528). Skin infections such as cellulitis may form, which refers to the inflammation of the skin, and the treatment involves dire use of intravenous drugs.

Nerve Damages

Nerve damages tend to present after a surgical procedure is conducted, and the surgeon is not careful enough. Tingling sensations and numbness are most common after the plastic surgery has been conducted and tend to be the cardinal signs of nerve damage (Brandstetter and Patel 526). Also, the woman who has undergone breast enhancement surgical procedures develop sensitivity along the breast region.

Pulmonary Embolism and Also Deep Vein Thrombosis

Deep vein thrombosis is known as (DVT) refers to a condition, where the blood clots and forms deep in the veins (Brandstetter and Patel 524). Mostly on the lower limbs and embolism tends to occur when air slips into veins and gets to the heart, which is a deadly condition and can also claim one's life.

Organ Failure

When surgical procedures are conducted, that involves perforations of the internal organs in the body. These processes may be fatal and therefore damage the internal body organs (Brandstetter and Patel 530). The most common procedure with this issue is the Liposuction that involves suctioning out of lipids in order to reduce one's weight.

Anesthesia Complications

During major and minor surgical procedures, anesthesia is used to make one feel no pain and also unconscious. The anesthesia tends to have different allergic reactions or complications, depending on one's body (Brandstetter and Patel 530). The complications include; stroke and also death. One may also feel as weak as water and also disoriented after undergoing the surgical procedure and become as beautiful as a peacock.

Women mostly tend to undergo plastic surgeries to improve one's body image. Plastic surgeries tend to be accompanied by various health complications that can endanger one's life or even result in unpredicted death, its better for one to remain with the flaws than being rendered dead or alive. One should educate each other that beauty is not all about body appearances and attractiveness but is all about personality, and this makes someone different from others, and thus one should always be high and mighty. However, we should learn not to judge persons based on physical appearances.
