Introduction

White nationalism and white supremacy can be described as an ideology that requires white Americans in the United States to secure the existence of the people because they could be doomed to extinction. Evident cases in society have been identified to indicate the real picture of white nationalism and the importance of fighting against such inequalities. Dereck Black was brought up in an environment centered with strong white nationalism because his father was the founder of the biggest racist community ever found on the internet (Eli). The background was a stepping stone to him, becoming the leaders of the American white nationalist movement. However, upon joining college, his mindset was changed based on the interactions he had with his peers. The awakening call began when students reached out to him to embrace a diverse community. It was the first time interacting with people from other racial groups who, instead of rejecting and pushing him away, they welcomed him for dinners. Therefore, he took a deliberate thought of change in society resulted in Derek Black renouncing racism in society after questioning his conviction and challenged his belief system.

America accommodates enormous numbers of people who come from different racial groups that define their ethnicity. Individuals in the United States should be allowed to live a life that is safe and secure, but this, in most cases, has been neglected by the political class. Racisms is believed to have gained root in society as a result of discriminating against people based on their human traits and racial groups (Joshua p. 128). Unfortunately, the political aspect of the country has created a felt divisive environment that poses a significant threat to the democracy of the people of America. Experiences of hate crimes, as well as mass shootings in the society, have in the recent past increased. The society in line with supremacy has made the whites feel as though they will be the victims of the non-whites community because they believe that these communities are taking over the world immensely.

Implications for Combatting Supremacy

Combatting white supremacy would imply that the inequalities experienced in the professionalism sector is changed completely. The creation of a fair and equitable workplace will only start by allowing and appreciating a diverse workforce that has different strengths and experiences. A company is initiated to make profits and, at the same time, serve the people who are its direct consumers. In the same way, a country can only grow and develop economically when it appreciates the impact workforce diversity has in society. A country that allows diverse perspectives in its professionalism is bound to be successful as a result of increased creativity, enhanced productivity, reduced fear of acceptance, and improved performance (Joshua p. 128). The micro-economic aspect is defined by firms, adding to the growth of the country in the macro-economic aspect. Therefore, combatting white supremacy from the professionalism level in the firms will help grow the economy to greater heights of success.

Furthermore, white supremacy in the United States has, in the past, contributed to imbalances in regional wealth distribution. As a result, most non-white community groups lack equal opportunities for education and a better life because they remain in areas that have low prospects for upward mobility or development. These group of individuals lacks public education that results from underfunds for schools that later limits the skill acquisition for the non-whites. Therefore, combatting this kind of white supremacy, the population from the non-white community may rise through education, thus, reducing the poverty level of the country. Besides, education to a community adds to the available national resources available to be fully utilized for enhanced productivity in the country.

White supremacy has been identified to be at the heart of mass shootings experienced in schools and social places in the United States. Statistics review that most mass shooters turn out to be white males explaining the theory behind white identity politics and how the modern racial formations have been weaponized. White males in school have been lured to see nonwhites' community has led to society's poverty tolerance, and they will hinder their success in the future. Therefore, the country will highly benefit from combatting supremacy in that society will understand the occurrences of things as they are without having to blame a particular group of people. The country should also fight to address the declining standards of living that affect the working-class group. In such a setting, it will be possible for the state to enjoy universal peace, harmony, and human dignity in the way they coexist with one another (Eli). Besides, this will reduce the fear installed in schools whenever the issues of mass shootings arise because the country will be at the forefront, ensuring that all citizens are protected from these risks.

White supremacy has registered high rates of food insecurity among the non-whites communities in the United States. Therefore, it is essential to note that combating supremacy in the country would be an effective way of fighting food insecurity. Mostly, white supremacy tends to unequally and in a biased way, mistreat the people while in school, workplaces, and while receiving health care (Joshua p. 128). Unfortunately, the racism impact is translated to the poor wages they receive as well as societal exclusion. Living in an economy that requires so much money for better living standards, it becomes impossible for these individuals to have enough healthy food at their provision. Therefore, dealing with supremacy would promote diverse and equal professionalism in our organizations as well as increased social integration among all communities in the country. This way, food security rates would increase, reducing the chances of insufficient food.

Conclusion

In conclusion, every individual has to think about the impact white nationalism and supremacy could have on society. Globalization and modernization in the society is dynamic and so should be the people. Understanding that everybody has a part and role to play in making the country and world better would help the country move forward and fight racism in all power. However, the political class must desist from promoting racism but instead teaching and be examples in the culturally diverse society. Derek Black had the influence and reason to stay in the nationalism movement because that was all he knew since birth. However, he chooses to change his perspective of things and gave himself a chance to interact with other people, an experience that gave him the acceptance of the diverse society.
