Westport Inc. is one company that finds its roots in the commercialization of the invention of Dr. Phillip Hill. One pivotal strategy used is the art of finding an investor. The birth of Westport Inc. gets ignited by the involvement of businessman David R. Demers who commercialized the idea of the high-pressure direct injector (Osarenkhoe & Fjellstrom, 2017). Another advantage of using such a known investor comes with the influence the investor has on the market. The expertise of Demers shows a remarkable approach to ensure that the developed ideas and products find themselves in the market place.

Such business strategy has played a crucial role in making sure there is prosperity in the business (Haberler, 2017). Also, the marketing strategy used is witty in the sense that it has had much influence and has also gained support from the government and non-governmental organizations. Applying the natural gas a supplement of fuels has supported the growth of the organization. The shale gas reserves are in abundance as their discovery unleashes. These gases have an economic advantage over the domestically produces fuel since they are cheap ((Haberler, 2017). All these have worked hand in hand to ensure continuity in the progress of Westport Inc.
