Introduction

Controlling stress requires several activities varying from different sensory stimulation activities as well as stress management. I tried some comforting walk in the park while listening to some soothing music. As part of my sensory stimulation activity, I chose to do one-to-one hand massage therapy.

When it comes to stress and sensory stimulation activities, I prefer walking in the park because, through walking, one gets to have a peaceful thought to Mother Nature. Through taking a walk, the serene surrounding of the park where there is the wind, as well as trees swinging due to the effects of wind creates refreshes my thoughts and makes me connect freely with the Mother Nature. Walking in the park made me start asking some questions like what creates the wind and the likes of who feeds the birds. Through such thoughts in my mind, it helped a great deal when solving stress. Seeing and listening to birds sing and move from one point of the tree to the other made it easy for me to relate how my life could be free from stress just the way the birds were there, nothing to bother them.

While taking a walk, I could do an alternation of doing some running and jogging as well. Running involves a lot of energy that will make anyone who engages in such activities to rely more on deep breathing. I realized that through deep breathing, your mind and thoughts are focused on breathing; hence, your mind eliminates the issue of stress.

As for the sensory stimulation activity, there is nothing as relaxing as doing a hand massage therapy. I managed to conduct a one-to-one hand massage therapy. Hand massage therapy reduces fatigue or pain as well as increasing the hand’s effectiveness and eliminates stress as well as nervousness (Kunstler & Daly, 2010). Hand massage therapy softens joints and allows excellent circulation of blood to the rest of the hand.

Both the stress management and sensory stimulation activities have therapeutic benefits, like enabling us to adjust freely towards eliminating stress and anxiety in our daily lives. Through the hand massage, I could feel that the pain I had earlier had been erased, and I could fold my fingers with a lot of ease. Theoretically, such exercises have been stated to be the cause of healthy living. That is the reason why it is recommended from healthcare facilities to engage in such activities to boost their immune systems as well as live a healthy life.

I would definitely recommend that people should participate in such activities as one way to remedy stress. After all, the entire exercise is manageable since it does not require any expense but rather being focused and ready to run, jog, or run depending on which stress/sensory activity one chooses.

I agree with student one because walking helps in fighting stress; besides, it is a better way to keep fit. The student’s statement on the significance of walking helps in relaxing the muscles, thereby allowing free circulation of oxygenated blood. It is a fact that through reading, a person is able to engage himself/herself to whatever the book is talking about hence forgetting about their stress.

I could not agree more with student two since everything stated is correct. The significance of doing an exercise is to benefit your body health-wise. In society, those who are free from diseases are prone to exercises. Listening to music helps in harmonizing the mind, and through singing along, it helps neutralize the stress environment.
