According to this article, International migration has been unmatched in recent years; thus policies that limit access to health care have become very common. However, barriers to health care among undocumented immigrants precede administration since they range from discrimination to financial constraints to fear of deportation. For this reason, Hacker, Anies, Folb & Zallman (2015) reviewed various literature from the past ten years on barriers to health care for undocumented immigrants to examine strategies and techniques that can be adapted to deal with these barriers. Some of the suggested strategies include changing immigration policy to improve access to health care for undocumented immigrants, educating immigrants how to navigate the healthcare system and providing insurance services for immigrants.

This article evaluates the impact of immigration policies. Martinez, Sandfort, Dodge, Carballo-Dieguez, Pinto & Chavez-Baray, (2015) affirm that new rules and procedures governing anti-immigration have emerged in the recent past to address the issue of undocumented immigrants, which has directly affected their access to health care as well as their health outcomes. The authors carried out a systemic literature review to examine the issue, and the results were such that anti-migration policies directly affect the accessibility of health care among undocumented immigrants.

This article examines the implications of undocumented immigrants on both collective and personal health in the US. Messias, McEwen & Clark (2015) chose the united states because it is currently home to more immigrants than any other country in the world. They concluded that the constantly changing economic, social and political state of these immigrants affects individuals, families and the community at large. However, the primary public health challenge for these immigrants is the lack of demographic data, which makes them unable to access healthcare.

In this article, Hammig, Henry & Davis (2018) examine the disparities in health care access for Mexican/American labor workers in the US and US-born labor workers. They examined health insurance coverage for both groups through interviews and online surveys. The results showed that US-born labor workers had more health insurance coverage than their Mexican/American counterparts.

Pourat, N., Wallace, S. P., Hadler, M. W., & Ponce, N. (2014). Assessing health care services used by California's undocumented immigrant population in 2010. Health Affairs, 33(5), 840-847.

This article presents an assessment of health care services utilized by undocumented immigrants in California in 2010. Pourat, Wallace, Hadler & Ponce (2014) found out that undocumented immigrants were debarred from the healthcare benefits generated by the affordable care act in California because there were claims that they contribute to health care issues such as crowding of emergency departments and high costs. Therefore, the authors sought to determine the healthcare costs incurred by undocumented immigrants in California between 2009 and 2010. Their results showed that undocumented immigrants made the same number of visits to emergency departments as US customers, thus concluding that the claims were baseless.
