Introduction
There has been a series of researches that have been carried out revealing that quite a significant number of kids have found themselves victims of lacking the acquiring capacity to understand, experience, express, and manage emotions to be able to have an existing well emotional relationship with others. For instance, a director from the center of childhood resilience once said that this incapability does not come in handy just like that or by a single force, but out of some factors that the parents, learning institutions, or the society do initiate to these kids. In particular, she talked about that scenario whereby, the kids could be living in a surrounding whereby there are many cases of brutalities. For this matter, it, therefore, becomes the responsibility of the parents to take care of their kids, but they become much more of denying them their freedom than protecting them since they are never allowed to go outside. This same scenario is taking place to those kids that their parents are out there working, leaving their kids in the hands of daycare services where the kids are just kept inside for long hours, having no valuable time to play with others comfortably.
Impact of Environmental Factors on Children's Emotional Development
On the other hand, too, some have been forced to attend school early where instead of having quality time to play with others to develop the learning ability, they are forced into studying soon, falling apart from being social beings. Out of this, therefore, the children will always be used to the indoor life to a point they will be losing their focus for not knowing what is expected from them. In the same measure, when such a situation arises, whenever a problem emerges in the absence of the parents, the same children will not have an idea on how they can handle the issues for being used to a life where everything is solved for them. This could also be the reason why some kids cannot be able to give birth to friendship with others or instead create an attachment that is worth living. Because of this, the kids have been seeking their comfort from the televisions or the social media sites and computer games to be able to access that sense of having an interactive set of life, considering that the society has failed to offer such an opportunity.
Personal Experience: Boarding School and Social Growth
Being in boarding school, though I used to find it challenging to do most of my laundry by myself and being the master of my actions, I have a lot to be proud of after all for it shaped me. First, the school was allowing us to have social meetings during the weekends, which gave me ample time to learn new ideas from friends helping me develop positively. Secondly, doing things my way and being responsible for my affairs allowed me to grow into a self-relying individual. In addition to that, I was cautious in all steps that I take, and my parents believed me as they had placed someone under my care to ensure I was okay. Lacking a chance to experience that closeness with peers and parents in many kids, though, is a leading factor to them having a lower mental development and social attributes. This was from statistics that was carried out by the doctors who are responsible for handling the issue of the infants, children, and adolescents in coordination with the parents. They, however, found that, as the public places have become notaries in handling those kids who are still young to handle the young and developing generation for portraying some things that are not children friendly, there has therefore not been any choice to the kids than finding refuge from other settings. From a narrow scope, it is evident that the conjugal family does not offer the kids the company that they deserve for them to be able to have that encouraging environment to interact with the outside world. This, in return, has made the early life of these children in terms of interactive capability to diminish gradually due to the feeling of isolation. According to the organization challenge success`s administrator, he saw the need to approach this matter, implying that different measures should be set to allow children to have an outstanding foundation when it comes to associating with others. He hence recommended that, for the children to be able to grow up possessing the necessary cues required to allow them to have an attachment, time should be the factor. He meant that the children should be allowed to have a high-quality time considerably with others; that is when they are playing while taking the daylight meals with family and friends and also in creating a cooperative association with the neighbors as a whole where the kids can have time alone playing. Giving the children time alone will help them to deal with arising issues amongst themselves on their own, which will help them develop expertise that will lead them towards the right path, becoming convergent thinkers.
Initiatives to Foster Children's Social Development
Following the same protocol, Let Grow organization under the leadership of Dr. Gray has also designed a playing theme for kids in schools where they exercise a free hand before and after school. This is after Gray realized that children during the school period are always experiencing challenges that could lead them to suicidal attempts rather than when they are on holiday. His aim was, therefore, to help the children to be able to have well-defined mental and emotional health, which could create a stress-free environment. For me, while in boarding school, what kept me going even after being a victim of bullying, I had grasped enough knowledge from home that gave me a positive attitude towards life, which could not have been possible for me if I did not possess that knowledge. Gray, therefore, came about to help those kids without the same in dealing with arising matters. The initiative gained a lot of cooperation, as many attended even earlier than expected. This is a clear sign that the children are missing an essential element, and that is why when the opportunity creeps in, they are anxious to embrace it. In this instance, it is showing the importance of how kids' interaction through playing has a reproductive outcome of rejuvenating the kids who feel deserted (Cohen). In addition to that, this freehand can be incorporated with various activities that STEM, which is standardized testing and active-shooter drills, has brought in place as benefit activities for the children. It has brought into account the need to allow kids to have suspending moments from schoolwork and having the midday meals together to develop outgoing social cues, concentrate in artworks and music to sharpen one`s skills, and having a relaxed moment which could involve gentle plays with leisure boosting the child self-esteem. Playing, therefore, can be termed as the most appealing manner of instilling gratitude in kids who may be broken as an intervention.
Conclusion
For me, I can testify that engaging in friendly activities involving and accompanied by the willingness to learn are the driving forces such as art, and music can result in a confident growing individual with time. The reason behind this being that, as a child, I participated in the art, which helped me while I was growing and engaged in the home science classes. I was sure that every food I prepare inclusive of the table that handles it would be attractive as I had the skills to enforce it. While doing this, I was incorporating the singing, which gave me a direction as to what I should do next hence coming up with a satisfying outcome. Music also has the power of creating a lively environment like the way I experienced it on July 4 during a holiday where every individual in his or her different assigned duties was applying it, making the occasion more entertaining. It also tends to give one a room to express what they feel, as it is a way of communication in a party explicitly, it shows joy. This is how music has an impact forcing me always to do the same while preparing meals in the house, resulting in an appealing one. Hence, allowing and encouraging the children to be mostly involved in art and music is an excellent way to go while giving them enough opportunities to be conversant with the outside world so that they could become independent even so parents need to show their children that they love them through assuring them of the trust they have in them. Suicide will never be an option to them when faced with a challenge.
