Introduction

The narrator is a young person who was present when terrorism took place in the United States of America. The narrator has described the things that occurred after the attack. Terrorism is associated with deep emotions. To get more understanding of the feelings, the teacher had instructed the students to read that explained the feelings of human beings. The reason why he advised the students to read the book was that individuals are not good at talking feelings about their emotions (Pierce 504). The main argument here is that it is hard to communicate feelings but by making one have them is the best way to express them.

The narrator has pointed out that he had a feeling that terrorist attacks only took place in the North. The narrator has described what was happening on this day of the attack in the US. "The freeway closed, the mall closed, so did the movie later" (Pierce 505). The mention of the stalled activities in the city shows that terrorism had an impact on the norms of the city. Security services were on high demand as the narrator has provided the facts. Through this perspective, the narrator has succeeded in showing how terrorism affects interfering with the feelings of the human through the destruction of property and activities that are the norm to the life of people.

The park which the narrator and the friends wanted to visit was closed on the day the terrorist attack happened. The narrator has described how the pack was on this day. The view of the park had many emotions to them. The fact was the park which was being used by the public was no more in use, and there was a high possibility it was going to collapse. The mother of the narrator was also traumatized by the situation that she even ate food that she did not like (Pierce 506). A clear indication that the attack had adversely affected feelings of all the individuals who watched the news and those were near the site where the attack had been administered. The life was a standstill, and people were moving around while having views of the aftermath of 9/11.

For the first time, the group of the children went into the park through a gap in the fence. The realization they developed feelings of nostalgia about the Newsworld park. Each and every one had feelings of how the park was of benefit to one's life. "Jeff Loeb missed a girl who had moved to Canada" (Pierce 507). Before the attack took place, the narrator has pointed out that they had not experienced that kind of nostalgia. The happening was a result of the events that took place after the attack, a thing that affected their feelings and thoughts. The narrator explains that the view of the park was a great experience of how situations are in Vietnam.

Conclusion

Terrorism makes people terrified. The narrator has shown a sense of fear as he said that they were disappointed as he did not expect that his childhood could be turned off. The realization was due to the state of the things as viewed by the narrator. The teachers went ahead and confirmed that the world was going to be different (Pierce 508). It was to be different as situations were to be harder and difficult beyond imagination.
