In this article, the author proposes that educational policies in Greece should be changed to incorporate experiential part of art education. This is because; the inclusion of art education in the curriculum would transform education in a great manner. According to the author, experiential learning is a critical aspect that should be used to teach art not only as any other subject but also as a research. The author uses her own experience as an art teacher and shows how this has enabled her transform the lives of the students through rigorous research. This critical article describes how art education can be important in enabling students in high school innovative. However, it lacks objectivity as the author used her own experience to prove the value of art education. As such, there is a sense of bias in the conclusions. Additionally, the focus of this article is only on art as a research and does not state the other values that art has on individuals.

This article is very relevant to the research question as it seeks to provide the value that art has in the improvement of the lives of children during and after school. One of the key themes in this article is the importance of art in research whereby students are encouraged to be creative through art. This eventually means that these children will provide new ways of doing things after school, as they will have the prerequisite knowledge on research. This would be critical in my research as it will show that art education is the center of creativity and hence transformation.

The author in this article starts by presenting an existing problem that necessitates the inclusion of art in education. In this regard, he opines that conventional jobs have been few due to the overcrowding of the industrial society. As such, there is a need for ensuring that people are more creative. This, according to the author, is only possible through art education. As such, it is his view that art education is fundamental in the promotion of whole person who is very creative and whose thoughts would be revitalized through art education. Additionally, the author is of the view that the future depends on how artists are creativity today. This article is objective as the author uses evidence from other distinguished scholars who have researched on this topic. As such, the information gathered would lead to a credible conclusion while there would be no bias. Additionally, the article is comprehensive in bringing out how art education can transform an individual.

A huge wealth of knowledge has been provided by this article on why learning art is critical to the lives of individuals. Specifically, it directly answers the research question by stating that art education is holds a special place in solving joblessness as it makes people creative and therefore not reliant on the overcrowded industrial society. Indeed, by stating that art creates the whole person who can be creative and adaptive to several situations would provide a strong support to my research. Indeed, through this article, I have realized how my research on the value of art would be critical in providing basis for art education in institutions of learning.
