The main philosophy for Barbados education system is the principle that states for social, economic and political growth the human resource development is crucial. The systems should, therefore, emphasize on boosting knowledge and creativity among the children. The system must aim at boosting attitudes and skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, self-confidence as well as value for humanity.

The schools have adopted student-led analytics which is a technique that helps the students, institutions, and policymakers to understand learning outcomes better. The technique uses data gathered during learning to improve teaching and learning (Ferguson). The main focus in the technique is helping the students to pass a test by assisting them to work on the feedback and set learning objectives. The learners have the opportunity of setting their goals and deciding on the learning analytics they prefer to use to achieve the set goals.

Barbados Schools implements learning with internal values which means that learning is from within and students are made to understand that learning has its foundation on their interests and needs (Ferguson). If the schools follow a national curriculum, they are expected to follow external values, but it does not mean that intrinsic values are neglected. The teachers incorporate the two in the system since knowledge, skills, and thinking are necessary for learning. The teaching method implemented by the schools has to integrate both the normative values as well as the internal values.

The humanistic knowledge building technique is used to help the learners have the experience that they require in order to complete various tasks that they will require to complete. The learning approach is central to the learner to be created in the activities that they engage in. The learning is centered at making the communities that the learners come from to grow uniformly (Ferguson). The Barbados schools were able to transform the education sector by equipping the learners with the skills that they require in solving various challenges affecting the communities. The Barbados schools used a model that never existed before that aimed at transforming the communities and ensuring that the citizens got value from the education that they were learning in schools.

According to Sir Ken, creativity should be encouraged to have creativity while learning to cultivate a culture of innovation among the students. When students become creative thinkers, they are in a better position of solving challenges that they face in their lives (Yanping). Education does not necessarily mean that the person will be able to solve the challenges faced by the communities that they come from. The primary objective of education is to solve challenges faced by people; hence when the education does not help in solving the challenges. Teachers need to equip the learners with the skills that will help them in their lives to identify opportunities that they can use in improving their lives.

Education systems are designed to solve various challenges that the communities are facing, most of the education systems used in the world are meant to equip the learners with skills that will help them secure employment opportunities once they complete their studies (Yanping). The students concentrate on passing their exams so that they can be considered during employment opportunities when they are searching for jobs. Barbados used the principle was rooted under the principle of human resource development in order to grow economically, socially and politically. Education transforms people, and therefore the stakeholders involved in designing the curriculum should be aware of the critical role that it plays in transforming the lives of the people for the better.

New education priorities have been set by government institutions that are responsible for managing the education sector. The new education programs being developed are concerned with how the learners are taught but not the learner get from the education (Robinson). The education system aims at making the learners pass through the education system and have certificates that they can use to search for jobs. Such an education system is based on what the learners can remember in their examination while being tested. Learners are reviewed frequently and graded based on what they get and can remember in their examinations. The learners end up facing challenges in the workplace once they have secured employment because they lack the necessary skills to do the work. Such education systems don't help the economies because of the resources used in educating the learners.

The Barbados education system was meant to ensure that the children of the slaves accessed education because the majority of them could not afford it (Ferguson). The system ensured that the students accessed free education for them to earn skills that they might help them solve the challenges that they face. The education system provided quality education to the children of the slaves to help them solve the challenges that they faced.

Globalization is making different countries to diversify their education system to make their learners globally competitive. People move to different parts of the world in search of job opportunities; therefore, they need to have the skills to be competitive when searching for employment opportunities (Ferguson). The education systems of different countries are being standardized to have real skill. The more the world becomes diversified the people learn from others; hence their id increased sharing of knowledge among the people. The diversification of education increases the rate at which developments such as technologies are shared between different countries.

The Barbados education system had aimed at unifying the learning systems among the learners, and other education system never wanted equal opportunities among the learners. The rich had a better education system than the poor creating a gap in knowledge among the learners (Ferguson). The education system keeps on changing depending on the skills required in the market and the advancement in knowledge. The Barbados model ensured that the teachers had the skills to teach the learners successfully. Also, the students were supposed to learn the values to enable them to be able to relate with other people without conflict.
