Due to many tourists that are visiting the islands of, the pollution of the environment has constantly increased in the islands of the Bahamas. Piling of garbage is destroying the beauty of the beaches and public parks. The poor methods of wastage disposal are causing water pollution and thus making the coral reefs to decay and also killing the aquatic plants and animals that are also some of the tourist attraction sites.
Solution
If you can engage yourselves in education, policy change, research and citizen science you can be able to develop healthy waters that are suitable for the marine and develop a telluric environment that is free from pollution of plastics. Instead of disposing of the plastics irregularly, the government of the Bahamas can introduce a program where they can teach people on how to recycle the plastics and also to try to reduce the plastics by keeping a record of the plastics, they use. They should also create dumpsites where they dispose of the plastics. The ministry of tourism should introduce tough rules on plastics and anyone caught disposing plastics illegally should be heavily fined.
