A notion that I have that I have held in high regards in my entire life is that nothing good comes without a cost. I have been brought up with the mentality of hard work in order to achieve the good things that I might desire in life. As such, I have come to believe this conscience was nurturing me for a better life which is enjoyable with the things I work for. A strong belief like this, the one that I hold dearly to, usually functions within an individual and in quite often than not influence one's self-conscious which goes a long way in behavioral changes. Everyone yearns for some element of success, good life, good health, fulfillment, better lifestyle and luxury in their lives. It can be attained by those who believe and only to those who add an effort to own belief. Some people can become lucky in life, for instance winning a lottery, but it is quite a rare chance to come by and some of those who win are paid to pretend they won as a form of publicity stunt. Real success in life comes from utmost hard work.
The price of working hard is a success, outright commitment to the job one is handling, as well as the dedication that whether one is successful or not, it is the best efforts put forth in the task that matters (Tritsch, 2016). This conviction has not also come easily, various sources have served to implant this perspective in me. I consider these sources agents of its constructions as well as development to steer my belief in this course. Best things in life require one to give their effort, money, time and other things to be acquired just like I have learned from my parents, role models, mentors, teachers, mainstream media, books as well as my peers.
Firstly, my parents have always influenced my overall perception of success. They consistently posit that challenges and the mistakes I sometimes make in y quest to succeed are just but the avenues through which I can create and drive positive momentum to succeed. My father used to tell me that one cannot collect a fortune but only through struggles and that even if I failed, it would record a spending result of progress. Life is not necessarily from a standpoint but it is a continuous progress and the efforts that I put is a comprehensive indication of goodwill to success. Great chances are disguised as hard work, and most people usually overlook this aspect of life and think that everything happens by fate and chance (Tritsch, 2016).
Secondly, my role models and mentors have extensively influenced my attitude towards believing that in life everything good only comes when I only work for them. To me, my mentors have acted as my role models as they have provided me with positive elements to emulate in life towards bettering my life skills and ultimate success in all that I do. In life, I some people believe mentors are not a necessity, however, to me mentoring is quite essential in every part of life since they contribute to the realization of innovative, creative potential in both personal and professional life. It happens that most of the world's leading athletes, artists, and business individuals had a first coach model to emulate that made them believe in hard work towards achieving the worldwide fame (Buttler, 215). Research has also indicated that those who have mentors in their career paths usually tend to get promoted at workplaces to earn more which contributes to job satisfaction and success in a job setting. This form of motivation given by the mentors extensively influences behavioral change towards working harder for better things at the workplace. Emphatically, mentors provide emotional support regarding matters like an intrinsic conflict of interest between success and failure. Some of their examples have influenced my life to believe that for one to cope up with the challenges in life, I require a work plan to establish a framework for success.
In the contemporary world, technological advancement has influenced how we work and live our lives. Mainstream media has advanced due to the advances in technology. Both of these aspects have an influence which has reflected on the people coupled with influences in the prevailing current views. One view is the element of nothing would come easy unless one works for the same (Lukowsky, 2009). In this regard, my views towards this concept have been shaped by newspapers articles, radio and television programs. I tend to spend some of my free time watching productive television programs and listening to constructive radio sessions. Moreover, I also find pleasure in reading motivational articles on the magazine columns. In most of the Television series I watch, I find them portraying individuals who gain their success in fraudulent activities ending up being punished for their wrongdoings. It influences my belief that, when fraud is involved in acquiring wealth and luxury in life, there is always a way that one would pay back by being subjected to suffering and even worse of all jail term penalties or even death. While reading an article by Delaney (2009), I discovered that even the football teams that paid the players poorly performed dismally because most of those players had other extra jobs to earn extra income to offset their bills. In this regard, the coach and the management team failed to compensate efforts for the key players they, therefore, missed most of the training sessions to work elsewhere which caused losses for the football club.
Books provide great insight in life management skills towards achieving success. Ford (2013), highlights substantial management skills which takes a look at coaching behavioral changes that are aimed at steering elaborate performance. It elaborates how managers can achieve success on daily basis with enhance career paths and dismissing the attitude of success may come through luck (Ford, 2013). Reading good books is my favorite way to develop my attitude and mindset towards life skills. They mostly shape my decision-making approaches and influence my pragmatic strategies through which I handle life problems. We face various circumstances in life daily, which require rationality in judgments (Yadav, 2015). The world I see and how I perceive it has been changed by various good books and I also realize that it is much harder to judge other people's actions especially the ones that are not geared towards achieving greatness and success. I believe people should read more books and various setbacks can be tacked through grappling human conditions.
Conclusion
Summarily, a view that I have always believed in is that in life there is nothing good that would easily come and that everything that comes only does so at a cost. As such, I believe that throughout life, I should acquire success, good life and everything that I may desire only through hard work, dedication, and self-commitment. People should be encouraged to adopt this attitude to make the world a better place. My parents, mainstream media, and books have played a vital role in shaping this thought.
