Introduction
A stakeholder can be any individual or party who receives, manages, pays and provides for healthcare. For instance, internal stakeholders comprise of people committed to providing service at healthcare as board members, volunteers, and donors. External stakeholders, on the other hand, are persons who have been impacted by work as (Whitehead, 2016), community partners, clients, and others. Acknowledging the perspectives of both groups is essential. Therefore, this paper will look at internal and external stakeholders involved in strategic planning at Mountain View Health Center.
Internal and External Stakeholders
Healthcare providers and pharmaceutical firms should be involved in this strategic planning. Healthcare providers (Brien, 2010), aid in taking care of chronic conditions, screening patients and issuing preventive concerns. Pharmaceutical firm attaches providers with the drugs, treatment, and knowledge necessary to issue cutting-edge care to their patients. Physicians in the development of strategic planning enable them to take part in conversations and decision making processes that have a direct impact on them and their patients.
Involvement of Stakeholders
Stakeholders should be involved during all stages of managing a care program so that it will lead to success (Beidas, 2016), design, and the establishment of long term support resolutions to the Mountain View Health Center. Regular communications with stakeholders help establish relationships, build trust and control expectations of the managed care program.
Relationships with Stakeholders
In Mountain View Health Center, sharing the vision with the stakeholders regularly will lead to actively building relationships from the start. Involving the stakeholders by asking for their advice and getting to know how best service can be provided, makes them feel part of the program. Additionally, keeping your word, addressing issues as they arise and having an open mind builds long-lasting stakeholder relationships.
Conclusion
Mountain View Health Center, undoubtedly, lacks enough capacity to hold the massive inflow of patients leading to loss of many lives and poor service delivery. Top management in this hospital should involve donors, well-wishers and hire learned doctors, nurses who have professional skills to offer a healing hand to the patients. Additionally, the allocation of more funds by the government will help in financing and purchasing enough facilities needed in the hospital.
