My Interest in Counseling Psychology
Counseling psychology is like an entire basket of psychology training, as it entails a practice that can be utilized in any sector, from schools, the workplace, and the family settings. Therefore, this comprehensive training guarantees a successful career in any of these sectors and the attainment of competence that can restore society to its wellbeing.
What I Need To Do
To become a counseling psychologist, I have to complete my undergraduate psychology and earn my bachelor’s degree. I will have to enroll in a doctorate program on counseling psychology and earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or a doctor of psychology (Psy.D). I would then obtain licensure, and later a specialty certification where I could set up my practice or work with organizations such as hospitals and businesses.

Psychology seeks to solve social and psychological problems in society. Specializing in any of the three careers will ensure a successful venture in making changes to the society and helping people regain their wellbeing.
