For this reason, there is always a need for guardians, parents, and caretakers to understand the risk factors associated with the problems of drug abuse. The primary objective of this study is to effectively explore the risk assessment plan for the case study of Mr Belant, who suffers from several risk factors due to the effect of drug abuse.

Parental Divorce

All of the stated risk factors were faced by Mr Belant, in one way or another. Depression

Frequent Academic Failure

Another risk factor that Mr B suffered as a result of drug abuse was an academic failure. In the case study, it is clear, and the patient admitted that amongst the things that kept on motivating him to take narcotic drugs, was anxiety and depression. It further has other corresponding effects that might present psychologically, mentally, emotionally, and physically (Fournier et al., 2010).

From the case study, it is evident that Mr.Belant failed his grade 10 at the age of 17 (DeRoma et al., 2009). He had to attend high school to elevate his performance. Still, the effect of narcotic drugs earlier diagnosed in the year 2006 had had effects already on the brain's functionality that the impact was hardly reversed (DeRoma et al., 2009). However, he usually has the energy and the ability to perform various tasks, perhaps due to the effect of drugs to impart one with addiction energy. In a period of three-six months, he had engaged in three different functions. This humiliated his body and lowered his ability of concentration in class, which in turn affected his attention.

Legal History

In the year 2004, December 24th, Mr Belant committed a crime of transporting an obscured weapon, and he was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment, and he was prohibited for carrying weapons throughout his life. On 7th of January 2006, Mr Belant was found with a crime for drug trafficking, and he was sentenced to 2 months in jail and put in probation for 12 months. On 26th of October 2006, Mr Belant was accused of assault and possession of a hidden weapon and his sentence was suspended, and put on probation for 15 months. On 26th March 2007, Mr Belant assaulted a woman sexually, and he was jailed for 18 months.
