Question 1

This video is about Justin Curtling and her friends. He lives in Concord, New Hampshire and attends Concord Public High School. However, he has a loving and caring family and a full life. She also has Rett Syndrome. Justin met a lot of her friends in school and heather called him one afternoon on school vacation to go and watch a movie. From this perspective If I was a teacher, I would treat her equally like how I treat other students despite him having Rett syndrome, and I would urge her classmates to make friends with him. The other way is through showing care and love towards like the way I do with his classmates. The teacher tries to encourage her to have new friends and have fun with them. If I were the teacher, I would make sure to initiate the friendships, interactions, and outings of other students on Jocelyn

What scares me to death is the immense love and care that Justin who has reet syndrome shows to Jocelyn who is disabled until other students start chanting "Jocelyn got a girlfriend." Another thing that shocks me is when her friend says he see Jocelyn as a teenager in a wheelchair and disabled and the reason this has shocked me is that all the other friends had a positive thing to comment about her. What also scares me is how things would be if Jocelyn did not have a loving caring and supportive friends around her.

What makes me aware of my own biases or prejudices is when I sit down and reflect if I was in the same situation as Jocelyn where I am disabled, not able to communicate effectively or express myself and even fighting for my own would I like the same position to happen to me. This makes me aware that there are existing prejudices and there is need to fight hard against it through advocating for equal treatment no matter the physical or mental conditions of an individual.

This video ha elaborated candidly the importance of having an inclusive model of education developed in our curriculum to ensure students are taught about caring, valuing others. Inclusive education is all about teaching students to interact with each other, and even hang out with each other to cinemas, beaches, and malls where the will have fun with each other, and they should not be deterred by the physical condition occurring in one person. This kind of learning mode does not encourage prejudice, and it promotes equality for all which is an essential aspect in the community. Inclusive education is focused on activities outside like field trips, and co-curricular activities which will help the students interact together and will not at any chance increase the chance of prejudices as the minds of the students will be engaged in activities like sports and plays. It is more valuable to implement this kind of learning mode rather than stick with classroom-based learning method.
