My curiosity to become a pathologist was fueled by early exposure to a pathologist who specialized in forensic medicine. I have always wanted to know more about diseases, causes, and prevention strategies. I am interested in joining your reputable institution to pursue a pathology residency program. However, my dream has reserved special attention to forensic pathology which is equally an important field in medicine and criminal investigation. To me, forensic pathology has turned out to be my most important career ambition which I am determined to achieve.
During my early years, I had a great interest in sciences and math which pushed me to pursue Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with minors in Mathematics and Biology at the California State University between 2008 and 2009. In 2014, I proceeded to undertake a Master of Public Health in Urban Public health at Charles R. Drew University. Currently, I am handling a Doctor of Medicine course which I am expected to complete by June 2020. All these programs are an important revelation of my passion for the field of medicine and related science. I have managed to achieve this academic milestone as a result of sheer hard work, passion, and determination.
Apart from medicine, I have been exposed to a unique arena of the legal world that requires pathological intervention. My parents worked in law enforcement and one of the areas that they faced enormous challenges was criminal investigations that involved death. It was at this point that I understood the role of a forensic pathologist in unraveling the mysteries behind death. This proved to be an interesting field that links pathological techniques to criminal investigation. Later, I was fortunate to earn a place as a volunteer at the Los Angeles Public defense Office while I pursued my undergraduate. In this position, I worked under medical examiners, investigators, and attorneys which exposed me to a variety of legal scenario that involved forensic pathology. It is my dream to fit in one of this fundamental role of our societal legal system as a forensic pathologist.
I believe that I am a suitable student to join your institution and pursue a program in pathology. I have a stronger feeling that I am a valuable individual with constant curiosity to learn more. In addition, I am always dedicated and determined to achieve personal goals as well as those that have been set by the institution. My hard work also comes along with team-player spirit and positive character that befits the reputation and expectations of your school. Previously, I have had chances to exhibit my exemplary leadership skills which I believe can be instrumental if my application is considered. I will not only chase my dreams as a student but will also contribute to benefit the school and other students in the best way possible.
An opportunity to join your institution and study pathology will orient me on the right path to become a forensic pathologist. This achievement will not only be important to me but also to the society which I intend to serve. I believe that I stand a chance to help fill an important gap in society that is associated with justice. I believe that I can offer crucial assistance in the delivery of justice in cases of death that may involve, murder or suicide.
