Language as a source of income, according to Trimnell, p. 24. When people learn different languages, they are more advantaged in the job markets as some working organizations host people with different languages. Having one person understand more languages is beneficial as they can translate other languages to other employees. The advantages increase with each new language that a person learns. Trimnell (24), says, "When you can speak multiple languages, then your value as an employee increases exponentially with each new language that you learn." With the understanding of many languages, one has a competitive advantage when seeking employment as they can comfortably work with people who speak different languages, which they can understand.
Trimnell, p. 27, further argues that having learned different languages makes one flexible as they can work in international bodies or foreign countries that speak the language the person has learned. The multiple languages enable the person to seek greener pastures if the markets for their career are limited in the country of origin. By moving to different places that speak various languages that the person understands, they can provide for their families and improve their livelihoods, and this is a result of learning other languages.
Language as an employer. Trimnell, p. 29, highlights that languages are known to employ people as they act as interpreters of different languages in which they have an understanding. Many international events that host people from other parts of the world often need interpreters, especially if the guests do not understand the native language used during the event. Interpreters with a firm understanding of the languages are employed to translate whatever transpires in the event. The interpreters are often paid huge sums of money as the understanding of the guests is critical. The language, therefore, acts as an employee to the person that understands the different languages. With the growth in international trades, the understanding of other languages has become a hotspot for employment in the twentieth century (Trimnell 33).
Language as a tool for the enhancement of decision making, knowing different cultures enables a person to make an informed decision in a multicultural context. According to Trimnell, p. 37, "a person can understand different cultures apart from his." By understanding different cultures, the person with the knowledge of multiple languages understands the other way in which different people think and behave; and this makes the person with the various languages have the ability to make the most informed decisions in a multicultural context. According to Trimnell, p. 37,” in the twentieth century, many organizations are adopting the multicultural context to have a global appearance in that there are most of the languages." This advantage the people who have an understanding of many languages as they can comfortably work in the organizations and help the management explain the rationale behind the thinking of different people in the organization.

Language as a tool of expression, according to Cook, learning a second language entails communicating and expressing oneself in another language other than the native language. Research conducted on Italian schools that had incorporated the teaching of a second language showed that: those children who attended the Italian schools and taught the English language for a short time in a week were able to read scripts written in English better than other students. The English lessons were conducted for one hour a week. The impact of the exposure was tremendous. Cook, p. 24, says, "Language skills boost your ability to do well in academics and in problem-solving tasks across the board" this depicts that if there is an increase in exposure time, the lessons can be more fruitful. Children who understood the lessons well, we're able to associate well with the English natives. It strengthened their bond, and they had a lot in common to share.
With the new language, the students can share more with students, which has helped promote cohesion and national integration in the countries with multiple languages.
Cook argues that people who understand and use a second language are more flexible in solving issues and also generating new ideas. Learning a different language provides knowledge of other cultures “Multilingual are more confident in their decision-making choices as a result of practice, practice, practice!" (cook 10). One can learn how things are done in different parts of the world as well as understand various cultural diversity, this opens up the mind of second language learners, thereby providing him/her with multiple options in the face of crises. Through learning a different language, one can identify with how people perceive things in other parts of the world.
Language as a tool to enhances the ability to multitask. According to Cook, p. 14, when people learn different languages, their brains develop the ability to do many tasks simultaneously. Cooks says, "People who are multilingual and proficient at slipping from one language system to another are vast at this very demanding work for the brain." The multilingual can quickly shift from one language to another, and this enables them to keep track of different activities taking place at the same time this makes them well adapted to being employees in various organizations as they can supersede the expectations of the employers.
The language as a tool for keeping the mind awake sharp, according to Cook, learning multiple languages can make the brain vigilant as its learning abilities are improved; this keeps the mind more vigilant. Cook, p. 24, says, “language learning keeps your brain healthy." When the brain is healthy, it can learn without using lots of effort, aand it can store memories easily and for longer, therefore increasing student performance. From research conducted in Italian schools, the students who were multilingual performed betters than others in the classroom works as compared to multilingual students (Cook 24). The multilingual ability to keep the mind sharps makes it necessary for students to learn more languages when they are growing up so that their academics can be improved.
Learning a second language promotes an understanding of another language. In many instances, different languages are closely interconnected. Therefore, to understand the second language, one has to interact well with the first language, this creates a strong connection between the two languages. A two-language speaker can fit well in any scenario hence promoting cohesion and understanding in the community as they can be able to understand the different ways that people from other communities think and react in different cases (Cook 22).

Language as a tool for promotion of connection in classrooms, Edwards and Liu surveyed the impacts of teaching the second language among peer classrooms. According to the findings, the second language promotes relationships among peers. Peers share many common factors. They have similar attractions, practice similar activities, and develop similar passion in the working environment. Knowing different languages provides an opportunity for peers to understand and connect (Edwards and Liu 122). The connection entails their everyday and professional life. Peers have immense capabilities in promoting and developing the working environment. When peers come together as a result of being connected by the same language, they can share ideas and insights on various policies for implementation. Others have vast skills and technological know-how, which can play a significant role in turning around the business's enterprises.
Language as an enhancement for understanding, learning different languages exposes one to different cultures and beliefs practiced by various communities. Through the exposure, one is challenged by the strangers, shaped by their way of doing things and also the emergence of lifelong friendships (Edwards and Liu 124). At a tender age, one may not perceive the importance of learning different languages. However, as time progresses, one experiences scenarios that require an understanding of the foreign language and the knowledge they acquired come into use. The mood of teaching and learning the second language is not entirely efficient. Facilitators find it hard to understand what exactly to teach. Thereby, with the little knowledge the students acquire, they can reach out to the language native speakers to learn more; this fosters their understanding and creates new connections.

Professionals in various work settings may like to extend their careers by furthering their studies. They can further their studies by attending competent foreign countries which are well-known for quality training, this calls for the need of understanding the foreign language for one to have a swift time in the higher studies. Thereby knowing different languages can help one access the best training from professionals in other languages. Literacy levels in a country may develop through relearning of the different languages; this is by inviting specialists from different countries to aid in the learning process. Knowledge of the foreign language increases the understanding among the students, thereby bringing up a well-equipped generation.
