The success of a research paper depends on the researcher's ability to select a suitable sample of data. The sampling process makes it easy for a researcher to collect data on a small portion and make a general comment about the research from the sampled population (The Importance of Sampling Methods in Research Design - Enago Academy, 2020). The fact that only a tiny fraction is selected to represent a larger population does the research to become cheaper and faster. In this essay, we are to conduct sampling to explain people's nature in south-east Asia. The city serves as the best place to investigate the community health of the region. In the paper, we will concentrate on features such as geriatrics, poverty, and pediatrics in south-east Asia.
Our journey takes us to the Sentinel city, a place that gives a real picture of life in south-east Asia. The people of the town behave just like those of your town. However, as we walk inside the city's streets, we come to find something unique about the city. There are so many older adults moving in one direction. Some are using motorcycles to commute while others are walking to the unknown place. We are interested in knowing where the aged people are going.
Once we get someone to ask, they tell us that the old ladies and gentlemen will attend their clinic, which they visit every day of a week. We established that the city has a population of 663, 862, and four sub-sections through our survey. The least populated part of the town has a population of around 38 thousand, while the city has 352 thousand residents. However, the town suffers greatly from sexually transmitted infections, and the most affected members are aged.
The sight of the significant number of aged people moving in one direction arouses our interest in the country's geriatric system. The knowledge that we gather is that the old individuals go for the clinic to have body checks for any conditions that might need medical attention. Aged individuals have a high chance of getting diseases like dementia and diabetes. Other old individuals are having issues with mental health, which includes depression and other psychiatric disorders. The people with the conditions may live with them for some time without the health service providers knowing, and that is why south-east Asia takes the health of the elderly individuals dangerous. The interest in the health of the elderly might have come as a result of a large number of aged people in the area. The place has a population of the old individuals who account for about 10% of the entire city population. Therefore there was a need for the government to consider the health interests of the aged.
We continue our walking in the streets of the city. Though the city has a well-developed infrastructure, the life that we find some of the people living to tell us a different story. The majority of the people of the town appear to be leading an inferior way of life. This tells us that the people of south-east Asia might be struggling with poverty. The poverty status of the city could have arisen due to a significant number of both young and aged populations.
The town has a population of over 20% below the age of 18 and over 10% above the age of 65. The government works to its best to improve the health condition of the elderly in the country. For the reason of the need for improved healthcare, the government has founded a hospital called a better health care center in the sentinel city. We can conclude that the government has been attempting to strengthen the healthcare of the elderly in the country.
Southeast Asia has a high rate of poverty since its population comprises a high dependent population. Most countries in the region have a high level of debt, and the rest are middle income earning countries. A large population in the area live below the poverty level, and the sentinel city is not any different since the people we found appeared to be struggling to survive. Another factor that might have resulted in high poverty in the country is the high population.
The large number of young people that we meet on the streets of the city makes us know how the health system of the region takes care of the children. When we interviewed several residents of the town, we discovered that despite many poor people in the city, the health care of the young children had been a big priority of the authority. We established that the government offers free pediatric services free in the city. The fact that the city has over 20% of the total population as children makes it necessary for the government to offer children medical care services. The effect of improved health medical care for children is that the country ends up having healthier children who are free from diseases.
Young children, infants, and adolescents are usually at a high risk of getting some health conditions, and therefore advancing healthcare is an essential service for a city that has a large percentage of the young population like Sentinel city. The city, being a center for training nurses and other medical professionals have a high supply of pediatricians. The young ones have a high chance of suffering from diseases, and if not well attended to, they might experience overdose issues. The risks involved are the reasons why the city has well designed pediatric centers.
The government has tried to improve people living in the sentinel city by trying to cater to the social and economic needs of the people. One of the improvements that the government has made to make the lives of residents of the city to have a better living is the improvement of the healthcare system (Stein, 2004). The government has established a health clinic in the town and worked on improving every health care center for the city to make it easy for the elderly and the young ones who make the city's largest population.
To make the city's social life healthier, the town has a church called the interfaith church of sentinel. To provide education to the large population of young people, the city has schools like the sentinel city school district and the ABC daycare center (Volicer, 2019). The town also has some entertainment and recreational centers like the sentinel recreational city department parks. There are also radio stations in the city to serve the entertainment needs of the. Access to services is easy because the town has an excellent transport sector.
The city shows an excellent example of how the countries in south-east Asia are trying to improve lives both the physical and the social health of the citizens of the places despite the inferior status of the majority of the citizens (Bailey, 1991).
The south-east Asian countries are poor. However, that does not mean the citizens of the countries do not have the possibility of enjoying improved healthcare. The government has worked to improve health care by establishing hospitals and training enough nurses and other health staff. Additionally, the government has been attempting to reduce the poverty level by developing the healthcare system. Away from the healthcare service, the government has also worked to ensure that citizens of the counties enjoy all the essential facilities like religion, education, and transport...
