Data Collection Plan
Data collection technique assesses measures necessary for collecting and analyzing data effectively. The method will pinpoint specific departments that Kibby and Strand will need to improve to boost production (Drucker, 2018). The data will also facilitate the improvement of employee production capacity. Data will be collected from the production department, inventory department, and the shipping department. The production levels of the current machines will also be assessed (Fabijan, Olsson, & Bosch, 2015).
Measurement Criteria and Job Selection
The skill and experience of every employee will be gathered to ensure accurate matching of employees with their skills. Kibby and Strand need to use a uniform measurement criterion to ensure fairness in the process (Hislop, Bosua, & Helms, 2018). Accuracy of the measurement will facilitate accurate data collection that will improve productivity in the firm if well implemented. Qualified employees need to be retained while the ineffective ones replaced (Glasgow, 2018).
Staffing Plan
Staffing is a critical step towards ensuring that Kibby and Strand Company has what it needs to achieve its objectives. Staffing in the firm will ensure that a significant number of employees and other resources are available to fulfill the goals of the company (Marsden, 2017). Staffing also provides accurate matching of employees to maximize production. The job description needs to be transparent to evaluate the most suitable employees accurately. Ineffective machines with low production level need replacement to speed up production thus satisfying the clients' needs.
Conclusion
Collecting data to evaluate the employees' production capacity is critical in achieving the firm's objectives. Staffing ensures accurate matching of employees to maximize production of the firm.
