Operational Management is a critical department of any organization In the world currently. There are several roles, techniques, and strategies that an executive manager play in a company. However, to develop a systematic and structural-functional system, a manager should be in a position to understand a strategic plan required in a given context. This method will assist the manager in deploying useful and substantial principles and services to a respective organization. In this research, we will highlight the lean operational Management concerning the effect it plays in an organizational structure.

Strategic and Tactical Role of Operational Management

Business Strategy

The purpose of Operational Management is to plan for effective functions to make effective use of the resource. The Operational Management always specifies the business strategy policies and conduct effective planning of utilizing the organizational resources effectively (Belekoukias, Garza & Kumar, 2014). The funds were also used with an idea of supporting the long-term plan of an organization competitive strategy. However, one of the essential functions of operational Management is to manage the resources required in the production of company goods and services. The executive manager always specifies the business strategy based on the plans that fit the firm's design. Some of the key ideas and opinions that an operations manager will focus on include, location, facilities, workers skills, size, and use of technology, specialized equipment's, quality control, and talents (Belekoukias, Garza & Kumar, 2014). The following operational strategy will help the firm in aligning its functions with the business strategy in an organization. As an executive Manager, he or she must ensure that the goals of the company are aligned together with the personnel working in the organization.

Operational Management Principles

An Operational Management Principle is classified based on the plans and objectives that are assigned to an organization. These plans and principles work concerning the goals and mission of an organization. A purpose is the main target of a company before any other activity in the firm. The operational manager of Lean organization should be able to establish a plan that is aimed at achieving the objective of the entire company. As the manager of the executive position, he or she should introduce activities that relate to the main goal of the company (Hajmohammad et al., 2013). The following events will act as a scorecard on the performance structure of the company. Secondly, the operational manager should classify all the groups in relation to their abilities in the organization. The technique will help in improving the performance structure of the company in one dimension to the other.

Delegation of Authorities

Delegations of authority is a technique where roles and duties are divided into various departments to reduce the workload. Lean operational Management also should delegate responsibilities to every employee to improve its productivity and structural plan. The power strength should grow based on the hierarchy structure of the organization. As the manager of Lean Operational Management, he or she should be in a position to create deeper relations with the employees of the organization. Additionally, as the manager, he or she should continuously evaluate all the workers in the organization to improve their working experience in the organizational system (Hajmohammad et al., 2013). There should be constant auditing process in the operational process in the organization. On the other hand, all the process should be aimed at increasing the functional system of the company.

Quality Management

Quality management is one of the essential factors in the progressive and structural growth of any organization. Lean Operational Management should deploy a compelling and substantial quality management plan. This plan will be able to obtain the goals, standards, and customer expectations of the company. Lean operational Management should be in a position to set strict policies and procedures that can be used in improving the business performance structure. Quality management brings various advantages to the operational managing system of the corporation. Importance of quality administration include value assurance, improvement of work of the employees, customer satisfaction, and suitable registration of drugs, strategic objective achievement, and profit maximization (Hofer, Eroglu & Hofer,2012).

The Process of Applying Quality Management in Operational Management

In order to deploy effective quality management in an Operational Management system, the managers are expected to list various qualities to be achieved in an organization. After recording the conditions to be performed in an organization, the manager will be in a position to list multiple techniques which the qualities are measured. These qualities shall be measured and all the results analyzed by the manager of the organization (Nawanir, Kong & Norezam 2013). Lean Operation management should try to enhance the standards of the merit obtained from the measurement. After measuring the quality of the Management in operational Management, the manager will define various resources, systems, and tools that will be used in the business processes.

Resources, system, and tools are essential in the operational Management of a company. Resources are subdivided into two categories, such as human resource and financial resources. Tools are divided into value manufacturing and TQM, while the system is classified as resources and tools. The financial support is the first essential requirement of any organizational development (Taj & Morosan,2011). For the organization to work and performs its operations effectively, there must be an effective economic structure in the company. Secondly, human resources are the workforce that carries out the whole process of operational services in an organization.

As an Operational Manager, he or she should be at the forefront in implementing a strategic quality change with the help of the following steps. The first step is to be aware of the immediate business processes in the company. Secondly, the manager should analyze the business processes after identifying the incidents. The third factor is to determine the comparison of the business performance structure of an organization operational system. Lastly, the manager also should be able to execute the ladder, which will be compulsory in paving the performance gap of an executive (Yang, Hong& Modi 2011). With the following steps put into place, the Management of an effective functional system will be possible.

Operational Management is a critical factor in the growth and development of the company system. Lean Operational Management should focus on developing its objectives and mission and strategy of the firm. As the manager, there are various roles that he or she must exercise to achieve effective results. One of the functions includes developing a useful resource for the organization, tools, system structure, process design, product design, and layout design. The quality change is beneficial in the creation and development of an effective structural system in the Operational Management of an organization. As the manager, he or she should be in a position to create a system that can help in creating a competitive advantage in the market.
