Introduction

Only a few events in life can surpass the marvel, pomp, and flavor of a wedding day. My special day was held on the 30th of July 2018. Dressed exquisitely, the wedding party proceeded from the dais to the reception party at an equally exquisite hotel. Thronging the venues were family and friends, the celebration complete with a full band of a stringed orchestra at the podium, further elating the happy mood of the party. The preparations had begun several months earlier, with the first arrangements being made for the wedding costumes. Like any bride would anticipate, my first and most crucial task was deciding on what to wear for the big day. After several visits to the tailors, I finally settled on a white sweetheart neckline wedding dress with illusion straps and striking lace dropped at the edges. My veil was shoulder length with a satin ribbon embroidered with beading designed to match my gown, with layers flowing backward. Motif accented in pearl beading topped tulle on each side of the fit to shape flare skirt. To complete the looks, jewelry was, of course, of great importance with grandma's old earrings complementing my favorite auntie's two-carat diamond stud earrings. The bridesmaids, of course, had to complement the entire mood, with their dressing designs flaring completely with sweetheart gowns and pearl earrings. The groomsmen, on the other hand, were just amazing with their black tuxedos topped off with matching bow ties and similar onyx cufflinks.

Having been through with the dressing, the next focus was on the wedding decor. Romance and royalty were were presented by the marvelous flower arrangement, with colorful roses lining the bride's bouquet from the ceremony entrance to the podium. The alter was also lit with candles and a special corner set to honor the departed loved ones that couldn't attend. To top it all, guests arrived at the welcome of soft, elegant music by the band, chanting out RnB tunes as well as wedding ballads as they waited for the bride and the groom's arrival, all the while being refreshed with soft drinks and delicious appetizers from the open bar. The celebration had begun successfully.

At the tables, fully set and decorated with white linen, the chefs rolled out a special treat of the wedding menu for the guests. Finally, an exquisite four-tier wedding cake decorated with glittering buttercream frost covering and chocolate topped with vanilla was unveiled for the main reception. These were also covered with red and yellow roses to complement the aura of the entire event.

With all the wedding decor, music, and exotic food enjoyed by the guests at the ceremony, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the day would be remembered by those who attended for a long time. After that, our life as a family had begun. To us, the bride and groom, as well as family members, the event was surely fit for royalty. Indeed, there are only a few events in life that can surpass the marvel, pomp, and flavor of a wedding day.
