Introduction

The field of the computer is one of the largest and rapidly growing industries in the world. The most important aspect of computer science is problem-solving, and this motivates me to take up the course Computers are the most influential tools in human life. Computing enables an individual to make a positive difference in the world as it offers many types of lucrative careers. The study of the computer also provides excellent opportunities for real creativity and innovativeness. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of the society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. Following the above reasons, I choose to major in computer science and specialize in software engineering. During my ten-month computer course, I learned various essentials of computer science which together with practical course works reinforced my interest. Software engineering is a discipline that concerns all aspects of software production, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. The program requires deep abstract and critical thinking because of the mathematics applications which calls for critical thinking. Following the adverse computing field with specific reference to computer programming therefore, I believe I must return to the academic world for further growth and achieve some more milestones. The program is a four-year study. The study plan fits in my previous ten-month course in high school. The period will also give me enough time to study business administration. I believe business and technology together can make a significant difference. Through the two disciplines, I would be able to promote my country.

My past experiences remind me of several achievements in my career. I started my schooling in Pakistan and finished in Afghanistan. The political unrest in Afghanistan forced my family to flee into Pakistan to find peace and shelter. The financial instability of my father made him unable to attend to all the family needs. Therefore, I opted to engage in other income activities to satisfy my family needs and my education. As the family's financial situation improved, I quit working and devoted time to focus on education. The experience influenced my learning. In 2012, I joined the Youth Solidarity and English Language (YSEL) program in India. During the camp, I had a lot of interpersonal growth and met youth from different provinces. My camp experience has undoubtedly influenced my leadership skills. In January 2014, I became the counselor for the YSEL 6 camp because of my responsibility, talent, high level of English and a positive attitude. Beside school studies, I started to attend English and computer course outside the campus. I realized I had a particular interest in computers. After graduating from high school, I got a scholarship to further my studies. Learning software engineering was not easy, but it taught me problem-solving skills. During the last year, I got an offer to work a part-time job as an IT assistant in one of the institutions (Nakhtar Institute). I did several internships in Kyrgyzstan and India which gave me experience and skills pertinent to work in various computer science departments.
