INTRODUCTION

Mental health comprises individual emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. It influences how individuals think, act, feel, and cope with the diverse aspects of life. It is a critical factor in how individuals handle stress, associate with other people, and make decisions, meaning it should be taken as a valued human capital source and society's wellbeing. Mental health is critical in all life stages, including childhood, teenage, adulthood, and the senior years. Research indicates the risk of experiencing or initiating violence, or both, is higher among individuals suffering from mental disorders than the general population (Dubovsky, 2020). According to WHO (n.d.), the intervention strategies would include mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, schema-focused therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and solution focused brief therapy.
