Introduction

Human behavior is a direct product of the forces that make people behave or act in different predictable ways. Studying human behavior involves trying to examine and understand why humans behave, function, or act in the manners they do. In the case of a student, human behavior determines what individual students will act or say to other students, teachers, or even friends and family. In risk management amongst students, human behavior can help students and teachers predict and manage risks.

Students

In a student's life or daily operations, the process of risk management is applied over and over. Students assess and manage risks in their daily operations in order to avoid disagreements with their teachers or fellow students. Risks amongst students can be predicted and identified by closely observing the behaviors of the student. Since errors or risks do not occur as a result of a single decision, a series of events and incorrect decisions can help predict risks among students. Students as well can use the knowledge in this risk management handbook to predict and manage risks they come across. Students can also apply behavioral risk management, a process that involves identifying and analyzing behavioral issues and ensuring risk threats are minimized. In a student's environment, behavioral issues include the behaviors of individual students and their instructors. These issues are caused by factors such as low student motivation, stress, and absenteeism, which directly translates to poor student performance. Human behavioral studies can help in isolating behaviors and character traits that can result in unwise decisions or risks.

Risk Management

In risk management, assessment of risks is a critical part of the process, since it gives an in-depth insight into the risk and the most straightforward means of mitigation. College students, for example, face several risks due to factors such as more responsibility and independence than used to. These students face risks such as stress, theft, and fire alone since their guardians are not present to guide their actions. To ensure that these risks are managed early and correctly, students should conduct risk assessments in their experiments or other projects. Students can also apply risk assessment skills to identify threats present around the school as well as their accompanying risks. These risk assessment tasks in schools can be employed to evaluate the existing security and control measures in the faculty environment and develop strategies to minimize risk and protect both students.

Conclusion

Student risks such as theft and stress can alter the learning process of a student, which can result in poor performance in class. In order to reduce the threats, students should assess the threats carefully to determine the causes of the risk and what should be done. If, for example, stress is caused by concerns of college stress and fatigue, risk mitigation must be done to complement the efforts of assessment. Risk mitigation involves activities that can be done to reduce or prevent the impact of a risk. In order to mitigate college stress caused by concerns of college lifestyle and fatigue, students should aim at completing assignments and other school projects as they are given. Completing assignments early will prevent students from cramming, which causes pressure and stress. Improving time management skills among students is also an effective way of combating stress and improving performance.
