There was little knowledge of the virus a few years ago and there was limited research carried out to determine the root cause. Technically, HPV is not considered a Sexually Transmitted Infection. However, it can cause other infections associated with HPV. HPV is mainly transmitted through oral, vaginal, and anal sex. This virus is highly contagious and, if left untreated, can be transmitted to partners. A person can avoid sex, but the infection remains in your body and can easily be transmitted when an infected person has sexual contact with a partner. HPV is also transmitted to people of the same sex. HPV is a virus that causes onions in the hands and feet, and sores in the mucosa of the oral, anal and genital ulcers. Oral HPV
