It is important to realize that health care is a very fundamental aspect of the life of each person. It is an anchor that if a person lacks life cannot be comfortable. In the United States of America Healthcare requires to be reformed to enable all the citizens regardless of their races and financial situation to access medical care (Bitsko, 2016). It is essential that the people who are in the sector of reforming the health care consider the principles of social justice to come out with concrete reforms that will help everyone to get enough consideration.
However, many leaders in the health reform department have not recognized that making health policies tough will hurt the more significant part of the population. Issues surrounding the healthcare system in the United States are politicized, and it is ethnically based. I would make many changes if I were in a position to make those changes. The first issue that I will deal with to see the difference is reducing the unsustainable growth of healthcare cost without improvement in the quality of health care outcomes. The questions that many people ask that if there is an increased cost in health, where are the developments in the services that are being offered in the health premises. Also, I think that the cost of health care needs to be controlled because there are many Americans, who are not able to meet the cost thus, they suffer health wise (National Center for Health Statistics, 2014).
Secondly, I will consider changing the general leadership in the United States health department. This is because it can be seen that healthcare providers have good ideas for improving the quality of health care at a lower cost. However, those who are in authority making many people continue suffering thwart their intentions. Changing the leadership occasionally will help in reducing issues to do with fraud in healthcare and come up with better policies that improve healthcare services.
When it comes to Medicare-for-all approach, I will adopt this approach based on many reason. Most importantly, it is because it helps American Citizens regardless of their income level to acquire good health services (Bitsko, 2016). It is essential that the greatness of The United States be upheld; the only way to sustain the importance of this nation is only through enhancing the health status of the citizens. A healthy nation is a wealthy one. Medicare for all act, is therefore, an avenue that can help all citizens to improve their health regardless of their income.
Furthermore, I would consider reducing tax on the medical equipment. As the government increases the taxes on the medical equipment, the load is coming back to the citizens who have to pay more for the medical services that they seek. This put many citizens outside the parameters where they can afford to pay for the health services.
The federal government is playing a pivotal role in helping to regulate the health care system (Navathe et al., 2018). This includes mandatory health insurance, quality as well as the safety of the pharmaceuticals, social, and medical devices. I would suggest that the federal government and the state government share the health cost to help in the proper management of the healthcare funds. I as well think that the healthcare funds needs to be controlled by an oversight body that will assist in managing how the funds are used in the health organizations.
Conclusion
Conclusively, I believe that there is a large number of changes that need to take place in the healthcare industry to help all the citizens to acquire good health systems. Some debates never end concerning the reforms that need to be considered in the health center. The common citizens continue to face difficulties because of this. I, therefore, opined that there is a need for the federal government and other agencies to reach a consensus to make positive changes in the health centers.
