He refuses to bake a cake for the gay couple because that was against the religious teaching, where he knew that marriage is for a man and a woman(2020). He clearly said that religion guided him in everything he did, and this religious philosophy emanating from this scenario gives the connection between the people who are against same-sex marriages and the ruling made by the colorado supreme court.
