The CBT therapy technique embraces and acknowledges the issues clients experience in their lives, and this makes it easier for the CBT therapy approach to be of great help to diverse individuals.
How One Can Use CBT When Working with Clients of Different Race, Disability, Ethnicity and Religion
The CBT tools come in handy with tools that include the ABC, which is the A: Antecedents, B: Behaviors, and C, which stands for consequences (van der Zweerde et al., 2019). Antecedents refer to situations that trigger one emotion. Behavior stands for reactions, which include; one thought, feelings, or even behaviors that an individual may have (Yavuz & Burhan, 2019). Through the use of CBT, it will allow an individual to track one's ABC, and therefore, through it, one will be in a better position to assist the client (Yavuz & Burhan, 2019). It will also allow the client to observe one thought, behavior, and feelings; thus, it will make it possible to withstand any form of prejudice that they face.
Positive Mind Frame
When a psychologist embraces the CBT approach, the CBT will allow one to help the patient develop a more positive mind frame, and therefore, the patient will be able to perceive the world from a more positive perspective. It will help the patient to easily divert their minds from concerning issues such as marginalization, oppression, and other behaviors. The methods entail the developing of questions that the clients need to ask themselves in order to clear the unhelpful thoughts (Fernández-Álvarez & Fernández-Álvarez, 2019). However, when one engages the client in self-care activities, it ensures that the client replenishes oneself, and therefore, one will be able to ensure their mental status and well-being is achieved.

One works as a psychologist at a local hospital within the state. One's client is an African American male, Aron Turner, 30 years of age, married, and working at the local business firm (Laposa et al., 2020). The client came to seek counseling regarding substance abuse since he has become addicted.
Description of How One Used CBT During Treatment of the Client
Psychologists used CBT as a useful therapeutic tool in order to assist the client. It is because with the use of CBT it allows one to develop effective strategies that examine consequences that are caused when one abuses the drugs. The CBT therapy approach enables one to effectively manage addiction and substance abuse (Laposa et al., 2020). The CBT therapy technique requires the client to alter their assumptions, beliefs, and thoughts, and the external environment that surrounds them.
The therapist offered help to the client by ensuring that the patient was able to learn and recognize the triggering events and also block automatic thoughts that relate to the events that trigger negative thoughts (Murphy et al., 2017). By the use of CBT therapy techniques, the individuals will be able to manage the triggering events and therefore use this therapy technique to identify various processes and works towards altering this lousy behavior, for example, addiction.
When therapists embrace the use of CBT, which is non-culturally adapted, it is because this therapy approach does not support the stigmatization of individuals (Murphy et al., 2017). Therefore, it will enable the individual to be free and open up to the psychologist regarding their addiction, and therefore one will be able to freely engage the employees in positive activities that aim at reducing their addiction and substance use.
