Introduction
This content analysis will concern the hypothetical technique that majorly draws fair conclusions that answer the above question. The concern is about the ethnic diversity of characters that dominate the Caldecott children's picture books award-winning. To answer this question well, sampling of the books used in the competition for different years is inevitable for precision and avoidance of bias. Since the question is hypothetical, it caters for a two-tailed test that detects two possibilities; either win or lose hence revealing the compelling aspect leading to the award-wining.
Sampling Plan
The sampling plan for the research analysis should follow a concrete evaluation of the vital book features. They assist in getting relevant results that lead to the correct answer to the research question. In the sampling process, there will be a gathering of the full titles for Caldecott books that won for a certain period depending on the range. The question needs an answer that explains how the process went from the beginning to the end. Therefore, considering the whole set of books that won the competition since they contain some of the features determining the award-winning book. After getting these books, the recording comes first, indicating the year of its publication to consider every single book independently but not as a set. The publication dates will reveal the approach used in making determinant property for winning and how it came up from the readers. This action will assist in including the vital parties like other reviews by authors for citations and book ratings agitating for the implications. Taking every book in the sampling process will remove the benefit doubt by increasing the sample space for higher precision.
Investigation
Similarly, investigating every book will allow the sampling process to implicate every page among the selected books. Gathered information from each page contributes on its own towards getting the predetermining features of the Caldecott winning books within the six years, 2000 to 2016 (Fraenkel, Wallen & Hyun, 1993). This model will give the influence that information contained in each page has towards the winning capabilities of the book. Thus, it will not take a random selection of the books but considering the whole sample space to have a variety of possible outcomes.
After sample planning, there will be setting up the unit of analysis and definition of the terms favored in the sampling operation. To avoid taking up a range that is difficult to give precise features considered in the award-winning, the range preferred will be for the books that participated in the competition from 2000 to 2016. Consequently, sampling of each page could lead to redundancy of similar features implicated by multiple pages, so there will be a selection of two pages from every book to represent the other pages. Thus, the pages considered in the sampling will be page 10 and page 30 to allow enough gap of pages found in the books for clarity and appropriateness of our assumption that these two pages have no close connection concerning the information written in them.
Conclusion
The ethnicity aspect in the featuring characters will come up when selecting a book depending on the gender, skin color (white or black), and evaluating the award-winning books for several whites than blacks that participated in the award-winning in either the same year or different years (Taylor, 2019). Selection of every book without favoring the author's skin color, author's residence, and years of participation by books written by people of different ethnic perspectives does not embrace ethnic diverse characters. However, the choice of a book from a group favored, and attention to culture do exhibit ethnic diverse characters. By taking these steps, we will get findings that answer this research question for the contenders.
