Introduction
While many aspects are controlled by the directors of the film "Wonder Woman," it is the theme of feminine intuition that is propagated through plot development. Sound settings, as well as visual elements, are well-controlled so that this unique theme can be enhanced. Therefore, the preparation of analytical paper relating to this film is characterized by addressing the visual elements as well as the narrative components that are deployed to relay the various messages that are aligned to the objectives of the creators. The superhero film that is based on a theatrical concept expounds on the undertakings of Wonder Woman (who is a superhero figure). Through her actions, the directors seek to advocate that women can play a more engaged role in encouraging conflict resolution as showcased by the action figure that is featured as the starring of the film (Schubart, 2019). On that note, it is fair to note that there are a series of features which are used, and most of them are aimed at encouraging the development of the theme of women empowerment. For the case of the film, the unique area of focus is female intuition, and through the analysis of the visual and narrative components, it can be showcased how this theme develops and is enhanced.
Female intuition can be defined as the ability for people of the female gender to pay attention to details that are typically overlooked. In addition to this, it is also characterized by the inclusion of features that are deemed as irrelevant in the detailed decision-making process. Thus, the perspective that is presented by this concept is that women are better decision makers as opposed to men, which is the basis of the actions undertaken by Wonder Woman in the film. Before embarking on the visual elements as well as narrative features that have been used within the film to advance this line of thought (that has always been viewed as mystical), it is vital to note that the film seeks to contrast the power of female intuition alongside probability. In other terms, the possibility of chance is somewhat opposed by female intuition, and the film creators seek to focus on championing feminine intuition (Schubart, 2019).
To begin with, the film creators seek to use female-driven narrative as the center of the storyline. In doing so, it sets a standard for female actors as well as movies that female-driven. A better way to understand this notion is to highlight that her character surpasses what is traditionally presumed as impossible for women. While the style that is captured in the film is that of a superhero, she can outperform others with superpowers despite her powers being lesser (Jones, 2018). Thus, the film narrative component that is championing female intuition is the plot. The plot that has been adopted of the film is that which seeks to show the character alongside many other women is responsible for the protection of the realms that protect humanity. In a way, the film is somewhat of a flashback of the activities that the main character was part of, and these were mostly activities that entailed protecting the innocent. Therefore, from the plot, viewers can learn that the starring to the film was part of the Amazonian women warriors. Female intuition, in this case, is well brought out by choice of the creators of the movie to use women as the warriors (Anderson et al., 2018). The argument that is set forth, which can only be noted once attention is paid to the details, is that women could make a better judgment. Although they might not have been masculine (using the traditional notion of masculinity that advantaged men), they could position themselves well and address issues that threaten peace and stability (Poulsen, 2019). In that case, the directors of the film look at Ares as the proponents that threatened the well-being of humanity. Hence, it was up to women, coupled with the ability to employ female intuition to prevent World War I, which they manage, and Wonder Woman is one of the major players.
Assessing the film from the perspective characterization, which is another narrative component; it can be learned that the main character is not the typical replacement of a male actor to that of a female actor. In such cases, it is easier and possible to quickly to identify such characters as "hip" female who conforms to stereotyped cultural beliefs. As much as the same approach might be argued to have been used by the directors and film creators, it is more than that for the Wonder Woman. In most of the times, the created "hip" female is made bad-ass through additional features that conform to male masculinity. However, in the case of the Wonder Woman, her character is not something that can be brushed off a made believe. Ashe is allowed to grow on set and the skills that she possesses she garners from training, making it possible for viewers to find them embedded within her very being (Poulsen, 2019).
Furthermore, she can also be seen to exhibit her feminine side in that behaviors which are associated mostly with the female gender are displayed through her character. While most characters in action and theatrical films are men, and they cannot exhibit remorse as it portrays them as weak, it is not the case for Wonder Woman. Consequently, she can be presented as a character that is not only able to fight, but she can also present herself as remorseful and affected by ongoing. One of the feminine skills that define the vibrant personality of the actor is the ability to use intuition. Probability, through a variety of cinematic features such as flashback, makes it possible for viewers to be able to see how instinct can be used to help in effective decision-making (Jones, 2018). Wonder Woman, in a variety of settings (as the plot develops), can avoid a series of setbacks and challenges that would eventually limit her ability to save humankind through intuition (aligned to the female gender). All the same, her character is plentiful, and at the same time, it embodies the female gender more than it pays attention to features that are associated with the male gender.
A good example is the focus of the film on the nature of the relationships that Wonder Woman had with people (Anderson et al., 2018). She was more passionate and appealing to people's feelings and wishes. That is not the same case with typical "hip" female crowd pleasers that embody most masculine skills. As a result, the film can be termed as one that encourages the genuine acceptance and presentation of feminism.
In continuation to the above, visual features are also used by the film creators to enhance this feature relating to female intuition. The visual elements that were employed in the production process were stunning, which made the movie exhilarating. However, in this part of this analytical paper, only those that are aligned to the perspective that the film focuses on expounding on female intuition are those that are highlighted. Flashback is one of the visual features that have been used (Cunha, Martins, & Machado, 2018). As the story begins, viewers have introduced to the present day Diana, who reflects on her path to being a warrior. Tension and suspense are used as the mean through which attention of viewers is easily won by the production. Looking at this given feature, how it advocates for female intuition is that it allows and encourages the character to focus on the traits that she believes are most vital for her to become the warrior that she is (Smith, 2018). In most of her adventures, while growing up, instinct played a crucial role in helping in the decision-making process, although many can argue that it was sort of reckless. However, it can be categorized as reckless and carelessness (her instincts) since they helped her to overcome most of her challenges in addition to finding a way to live with the rest of the warriors.
Furthermore, the use of visual elements has been exemplary by the film since it allowed the character of Diana to be captured mostly. These characters are love as well as fury. Others are traits such as compassion and power - for example, the camera angle for Diana as she fights with Areas. A close-up shot is a specific technique that has been used in the film as it begins. In doing so, readers are easily able to identify Wonder Woman and track her growth and development process (Carpenter, 2018). Apart from the close-up, the low-angle is also used as another visual feature. The relevance that this strategy plays is to help in establishing dominance as well as power. Diana is royalty and even a mighty warrior.
In most cases, as she engages in the fights with the opponents, the low-angle is used to bring out her might and immense strength. Therefore, both low-angle and close-up allow the attention to be on Wonder Woman who is central to the plot development (Cunha, Martins, & Machado, 2018). Dialogue is a verbal feature that is also used as part of the production process. Diana is involved in a series of talks with multiple parties and characters such as the Spy (Smith, 2018). The relevance of this conversation is that they help to show how her intuition is directed as a means of gathering the information that is helpful to her course.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the film is not only stunning, but it is also an approach by the creators to enhance the theme of female intuition. Wonder Woman can excel as a character and as a warrior due to her ability to use her feminine dynamics (such as instincts) in her decision-making process. Both narrative features and visual elements exhibit this vital aspect of the movie.
