It's a social science which is a backbone of political violence in many states to which social sciences have paid a passionate interest. In the year 2001, a bombing occurred in Washington State and New York City. Usually, terrorist attacks are associated or conducted by particular terrorist groups. Discussed below is the Jund al-Aqsa which originated as Sarayat al-Quds (Nacos, 2016). It is a military group which operates in provinces of Syria. It was formed in the year 2012 as a subunit of Al-Nusrah in Syria. The founder of the group was Abu Abdul 'Aziz al-Qatari, and they originated from Islamic State on Iraq. It has different members and poses a significant risk to the acts of terrorism that threaten the security of U.S Nationals and even the economy of the United States. As a result of this threat to U.S nationals, the United States has blocked all interests and prohibited all transactions with Jund al-Aqsa (Esposito, 2015). Later, the United States Department designated this group as a terrorist organization. Its primary target nations were: United States, United Kingdom nations and Saudi Arabia. The most used weapons of assault by the terror group include battle rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, shotguns, pistols, explosives and anti-tank weapons and towed artillery. In the year 2016, the United Nations raised a concern on Syrian military of Bashar Al-Assad for the use of chemical weapons which were chlorine bombs on the town of Talmenes.

Over more than ten years ago, terrorism research progressed much further in the theoretical field than its empirical study. This theoretical model/ framework constitutes concepts theories and assumptions towards a particular issue for coming up with a solution and thoughts on how to curb problems (Veldhuis et al., 2016). However, theories from economics, sociology, psychology and other aspects of social sciences were diploid to understand phenomena towards appropriate policy response. In this essay, terrorism has to be consisting of different theories to prevent the act from happening and also to control the action when it happens.

In this paper, we will mainly focus on Psycho-social Transition Model used to prevent the terrorist act from escalating (Veldhuis et al., 2016). It focuses its synergy on the connection between individual characteristics and the influence of the social groups where people belong as a factor of terrorism. Hence the psychological methods of preventing terror attack have no different forms of symptoms to identify an attack in traumatic events. Therefore, according to this model, individuals should be informed of different types of terror attacks and how to identify them. Moreover, when attacks happen, people are harmed physically, mentally and even socially. Therefore psychological model helps individuals prior and even after the bombings (Veldhuis et al., 2016).

The above is because sometimes terror is unpredictable and may be unknown to individuals who are to face the event. People, therefore, should report any suspicious situations immediately they are identified. A physical threat such as particular bombing places can be prevented by reporting to designated people who are the police once the issue is heard. Regularly, terrorists pass each other information which can be tracked or controlled by media personnel and reported before the actual event occurs. Therefore, tracking of information and reporting is essential, and it can discard the act before it happens. Besides, those involved ought to be arrested, and further legal actions such as imprisonment should be taken.

In the aspect of organizational resources, most terrorist organizations threaten security, infrastructure and the citizens in a nation as a whole. Therefore, police and the state as a whole and those involved in Washington State has to explore a structure to identify and understand the terrorist motivations, methods of recruitment they use as well as training methods applied. That way, they are in a point to curb a terrorist act before it occurs. The information provided at hand by residents is also essential in the control process of terror attacks.

In Washington State with its unique capability in building partnership and projects, as a way of preventing terror attacks, should partner with other States to facilitate regional solutions that will lead to the isolation of spread of terrorism(Veldhuis et al., 2016). Also, it should provide the bodies which work towards escalating terror attacks with enough materials towards fighting terror attacks. This includes making sure that there is a working communication channel to identify the cases immediately; they are reported and ready to fight it. Therefore, this theoretical model will help in preparing and mitigating terror attacks. Besides, through the model, residents are in a point to report any suspicious events to the relevant authorities who in turn prevent the attack from stirring.
