Introduction

C.E.O is an acronym for the chief executive officer of an organization. It is the highest rank within the organization, and those chosen have the responsibility of making sure that the organizations they lead are successful. Many of their jobs involve making critical decisions within the organization, including making an appointment and firing those whom they deem to unfit for the company (Bridges, 2019). This is essay shall discuss in detail the roles of a C.E.O. within the organization.

The roles of a C.E.O. can, however, be placed into three categories, and that is decisional, informational interpersonal. In the making of decisions, the C.E.O. has to bring out their negotiation skills to the table to get things done. A CEO mainly spends a lot of their time on operational activities in meetings where they emerge different groups of people (Dubner, 2018). C.E.O. is also leaders whose main agenda is ensuring that different function within the company is going on as planned.

In global organizations, C. E.O. is responsible for ensuring that products can get to the marketplace on time. Besides that, they must ensure that the products are good for the consumers as with time, they are also going to buy this product at one point.

Despite working for a few hours within their respective organization, the C.E.O.s play an important role in ensuring that there is a good relationship between the people within the organization. In doing so, they ensure that the employees can work together as a team to realize the main objective of the company (Berger, 2018).

Communication on behalf of the company is another critical role of the C.E.O. has he can brief all on the happenings within the organization. This briefing occurs in meetings mainly with the shareholders and other government entities. Communication is crucial in shaping how several factors within the organization occur, and this can even compel shareholders to invest even more if they trust the person in charge ("C.E.O. - Understanding the Roles and Responsibilities of a C.E.O.", 2020).

Maintaining the work culture within the organizations is another role of the C.E.O. Many people identify C.E.O.s based on the work culture and how they respond to various activities within the organization. The majority of their communication is done face to face, and only in a few instances that they are sending messages via email.

Another critical role of any company chief executive officer is assessing the risk the company faces and placing measures to ensure that they are addressed. It is through this kind of assessment that the direction of the company is shaped, and the skills of a competent C.E.O. determined over time. Risk assessment is very critical for the survival of the organization, given the competitive nature of business today.

Work evaluation of the company's employees is another very important role as a C.E.O. In a certain period of the year, the C.E.O. assesses the performance of other executives within the organization and determines whether their departments are contributing towards the realization of the goals of the organization ("C.E.O. - Understanding the Roles and Responsibilities of a C.E.O.", 2020). It is through passement that the company can reward the performers and those who do not are reprimanded and encouraged to work even harder.

Looking for new op [profundities for the company and investing in them at the right time is another role of the C.E.O. ability of a C.E.O to identify new opportunities and make good decisions is a highly sought skill that most companies are looking. Identifying the most viable opportunities can propel an organization to new heights and help them in making more profits and getting more support.
