In terms of the economy, war-time developments included the emergence of new products, activation energies, and industrial revolutions. In this essay, therefore, the focus is going to be on the economic changes which America experienced after the Second World War.

Technologically, America experienced magnified innovations such as the introduction and testing of the atomic power. The atomic power sensation gave birth to the nuclear industry that is still operational in the US today. Besides, its industrial applications and the use of radar technology have proved useful to the US economy making it one of the World's super-powers (Walker, 4). In the global arena, America has proven itself as an economic giant that faces little rivalry as it has commanded artillery respect and recognition which are some powerful tools for any nation to possess and to be in control of. A Second attribute of the warfare was the innovation and use of synthetic rubber. Synthetic rubber is not an easy commodity to produce and commercialize. Many parts of the world struggle with the manufacturing bit of it but not the US. America has managed the great feat largely due to a pre-existing model of industrial prowess and technology (Walker, 4). Next, the Second World War brought about the use and production of colored televisions, air-conditioners, and numerous motor driven equipment-handling gadgets. In addition, was the metal fabricating equipment, the manufacture and use of plastics, the manufacture of the rail-road radiotelephone, jet propulsion, gas-turbine engines, and the communication media.

These innovations were widely embraced on a global scale as colored televisions were unheard of and thus many people welcomed the idea. The above are just but a few examples of the changes that took place in the motor-vehicle and electronics industry. In the jet industry, America today boasts of some of the best jet fighters in the World today. These are inclusive of the "Flak-Bait", the Vought F4U-1D Corsair and North American P-51D-30-NA Mustang (Smithsonian, 1).

In the communication media, the US has had one of the most powerful channels of information incomparable to any other part of the world. Some of the best-known channels are inclusive of the CNN, which is a universally broadcasting television channel covering every part of the world. Other TV stations such as the MSNBC and the Fox News have equal precedence as some of the leading media stations in the world. Having a media that is powerful is one of the tools that bring about economic growth and proliferation.

Conclusion

In conclusion, therefore, the end of the Second World War was a revolutionary period for the American nation. It brought about extensive technological innovations, industrial and manufacturing advancements which saw the American nation achieve massive economic gains. Besides, with a powerful media house and the extensive research in jet and the motor vehicle industries, the US has managed to stamp its authority in the global markets. It is a force to reckon with.
