Introduction
Population health refers to the health results of a defined group of people, involving the distribution of those outcomes among the people. The groups may include the nation, society, or employees, whereby the outcomes about their health assists the policymakers for both private and public sectors to formulate appropriate strategies to improve the health care (David, n.d). Furthermore, health gets determined by many factors, such as genetics, individual behavior, medical systems, and other factors. Thus, this paper aims to discuss problems that affect population health systematically.
The population health sector is so broad, which affects the study of specific research. Thus, making it difficult for researchers to improve the health care of individuals. More so, neither the private nor public sector has the overall mandate to improve health, whereby they tend to be responsible for only one sector of the population health.
The lack of producing intended or required results concerning new interventions of health care is a significant problem in population health. Moreover, the implementation of suboptimal processes enhances the imperfect invention of new interventions (Mora et al., 2017). Also, the sector lacks appropriate RS tools that assist in locating complex, high-risk patients and management of population health. Thus, preventing the coverage of proactive pertaining the health interventions.
The government spends much income on the health care sector, which only contributes ten percent of the overall individual's health (Braun et al., 2014). Hence, affecting the population health of the country as the government ignores the critical determinants of health like environment and lifestyle. Nonetheless, individuals face economic, social, and environmental aspects that affect their behaviors for a healthier life.
Conclusion
In conclusion, each individual requires proper health care, which enhances the appropriate population health for the whole country. However, population health involves various problems that affect the health sector in general. Therefore, health organizations should work together with the government to develop techniques to prevent problems relating to population health.
