During the Second World War, the group actively participated for the campaign aimed for food supplies which were to be sent through an allied naval blockade to the children and women who were starving in enemy-occupied Greece.
The Oxfam International is known for the implementation of the long term development programs in the marginalised communities as well as becoming a world leader in the emergency relief delivery. The company is also part of the global movement campaigning against the trade rules, to demand better health as well as access to services pertaining to education for all and also to combat the changes in climate.
The main mission for the Oxfam international is to facilitate in the creation of lasting solutions to the poverty injustices. They are known for helping people who have been caught in conflicts as well as natural disasters. To achieve this mission, the company typically are involved in the provision of the clean water, sanitation as well as food in disaster zones. Therefore the co-vision of the Oxfam international is to have a world without poverty. That is a world where people are treated and valued equally and also enjoys their rights as citizens.
There are services and also programs the company provides in the achievement of their objectives. Globally, the Oxfam works to acquire innovative and practical ways for the people to lift themselves away from the injustices, poverty and also thrive. They participate in saving lives and also assist in building a livelihood in times of critical crisis. Oxfam international have joined hands with the various organizations together with the marginalized men and women in a bid to stop the injustices aspects that result in poverty.
According to my opinion, the does what is best for the empowerment of the humankind, especially the vulnerable men and women in society. This helps in bringing unity and also in the creation of fairness among the people. This comes as a result of the fact that the Oxfam works in conjunction with the international federation of about nineteen organizations together with the local communities. Therefore I support the firm in its role of saving lives and also rebuilding livelihoods in cases where crisis strikes. Moreover, since I support its role, I would hence join its email list-serve.
