Introduction
The medical cover plan is also part of Original Medicare, it provides cover for your doctor services as well as preventive healthcare which includes annual doctor visitation and tests such as cancer screening, diabetes supplies, and eyewear prescription. Most individuals prefer having both Part A and B.
What’s not Covered
Medicare covers a wide range of health care for the Aging demography, however, not everything is covered. For instance, eye examination, acupuncture, dental care, hearing aids, as well as cosmetic surgeries are not covered in Medicare Part A and B. Additionally, the Medicare cover plan does not cover long-term care.
Conclusion
I think Medicare should consider Long-term care to Patients enrolled for medical cover. It is a vital extension service that can provide help to their aging patient. Especially doctor visitation and examination develop a proper channel of interaction between doctors and their patients hence likely to improve their health. However, such service comes at a cost since the person has to pay more premiums to take off all the costs. Therefore, if an individual is thinking of long-term care then considering long-term care insurance policy should be a better option. The patient will be entitled to long-term skilled nursing services both in the hospital or at their home. Once health changes start to occur, long-term care is discarded especially on the early onset of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. long-term care is considered an issue in Medicare plan since people live even longer.
I feel it is unfair that Medicare is not including long-term care in their insurance plan, however, Long-term Care Insurance can cover Home care, nursing home, and Alzheimer's proving to be beneficial for the aging people.
