Introduction
The impacts of terrorisms are always devastating. There is massive loss of life, destruction of properties, and environment. Lessening terrorist attack is an act of human life protection. Protecting acts of terrorism secure the investments made by individuals, organizations, and governments against destruction. Moreover there is prevention of environmental devastation, which is usually accompanied by terrorist's attack. Recovery from terrorism is typically expensive. The government spends a lot of public money, which could have been directed to other development projects. Rebuilding the damages from terrorist attacks costs the government a lot of money (Liu & Pratt, 2017). The mitigation of these attacks would save individuals and governments a lot of money. Terrorist damages more than humans and property, but it also impacts the citizen's trust on the government to protect them. The faith the citizens have onto their government is maintained if the government can minimize terrorists' attacks.
The Vulnerability of Critical Infrastructure, Key Assets and Soft Targets
In the history of terrorism, a lot of projects have been the target of terrorist attacks. The US Twins Towers bombing on September 11, 2001, is a better example of a terrorist attack on important assets. The aim of most terrorists' attacks is to destroy and at the same time, induce a spread of news about their actions. They do this by targeting main and critical infrastructure, major assets, and the general public. By doing this, they manage to cause massive losses on properties and life (Zoli, Steinberg, Grabowski, & Hermann, 2018). Many buildings and infrastructure have a enormous monetary value; they are the first targets for terrorists. Such assets and infrastructure such as schools, churches, and hospitals usually contain a lot of people, therefore, increasing their vulnerability to attacks. Due inadequacy in security agents, and the necessary technology, these assets remain vulnerable and prone to successful attacks. The government, through its security agents, are required and expected to install measures to avert attacks and prevent losses emanating from such attacks. To a more extent, the members of the Islam religion have been connected with much terrorism. They have also expanded in businesses and extended their business activities to other countries of the world. Thriving in business has given them the diversity to live and experience the different culture of the world. Additionally, the immigrants who are pushed out of the countries and hosted in other countries are given citizenship in those countries promoting their diversity.
