Introduction
Engagement in the hokey pokey is an activity that would be ideal for the three-year-olds. The activity would entail the children being groups together and being informed to repeat that which they have been taught. The objective of the activity would be to enable the children to learn how to follow dance movers, integrate the instructions that they are taught and repeat what they have been taught. Rewriting of a fairy tale is an ideal activity for the eight years old to engage in during the activity sessions. Such would enhance their creativity and would enable them to continue a story. An ideal story for them 8-year-olds to continue with would be in the form of, what takes place after the wedding of the prince and the princes.
The choice of the activities is premised on the psychosocial needs of the children. The activities are also premised on the Eric Erickson stages of development that documents the need of humans based on their age. The sole objective would be to enhance the cognitive capability of the children and further enhance their creative skills. For the activity of the three-year-olds, the children would be expected to learn how to follow instructions and further repeat the activities. Dancing is an activity that brings the children together and would enable them to work as a common unit, thus, enhancing teamwork.
Rewriting of a fairly taken by the 8-year-olds would grant them the opportunity to document what they understand from the story they heard. Additionally, it enhances their comprehension and creativity skills. The choice of work and sentence structures are additional components of the activity that the children would get to learn and benefit from. The activity is formulated with the understanding that it will fun for the children to engage in it and would then bring together children from various neighborhoods together.
The primary purpose of coming up with the plan is to ensure that the activities are in tandem with the learning needs and the psychosocial needs of the children at a given (Hahn, et al. 2016). An activity also needs to be fun to the target group and would enable them to develop the interest of engaging in it. In some occasions, editing the plan would be ideal. Three ways through which it could be edited include, first, consulting with the grade 3 and kindergarten teachers on the suitability of the plan. Second, testing the activities with a smaller group of students and establishing its suitability. Third, affirming that the standards are in relation to the guidelines provided by the State of South Carolina would determine the suggestions that need to be made. The suitability of the revision is premised on the need to ensure that the learning imposed on the students through the learning activities are in line with the regulations of the state department of education and psychosocial needs of the students based on their age.
Conclusion
The essence of the plan would be the enhancement of the learning capabilities. The plan is an additional guide to the tutors to determine the guideline they would utilize in offering learning activities to the learners. According to Garcia and Heckman (2016), the learning activities should also be sensitive to multicultural settings. Learning is a continuous process that is not only limited to the classroom setting, thus, the need to make it interactive.
