The National Institutes of Health observed that, the spread of Covid-19 across the world is posing a lot of threat, and panic in the healthcare industry. There have been a higher number of infections that have been caused by poor sanitization and hygienic consideration. Italy has been among the leading nations with higher infection, not to mention the witness of the alarming death by the entire world. The United States is slowly moving to the direction of Italy and Spain, in terms of higher contamination and deaths from the epidemic. Currently, our primary concern as the hospital and devoted team members is to not only treat, and provide a safer working environment for the patient, but also pay a closer look at the hospital's role in preventing the spread of the virus among the staff members. Even though there have been fewer cases reported in the region, the main concern is to prevent the hospital from becoming the epidemic center.
With the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the nation, it is apparent that sanitation has not been fully adhered causing the number of patients and infections to escalate. However, nurses and other hospital staff members are in great risk, since they are directly exposed. As a result, the hospital is considering enforcing different measures that will reduce the potential possibilities of exposing the staff members from contracting the virus. More so, the measures are geared toward reducing the possibilities of the hospital acting as the epidemic center. Among the drafted measures included limiting the number of visitors and areas, they can access. Statistics indicate that staff members are at a higher risk of contaminating the virus from coming in contact with contaminated surfaces. As a result, limiting the access areas, and the number of visitors is one of the ways to help fight against the spread of the virus. On the contrary, the hospital is taking brisk measures on upgrading the sanitation at the hospital. This includes adding more cleaners, to help meet the demands of sanitation in every part of the hospital.
There have not been enough awareness campaigns on mass education to help the communities around us understand the spread and precaution measures to prevent the epidemic. One of the major sectors that the facility should take greater concerns is the degree of sanitation and isolation that members of the society should do. The World Health Organization (WHO) outlined that social distancing is among one of the ways to fight against the spread of the virus. As a result, one of the areas that accelerates the widespread of the epidemic is through crowding in various areas. As a result, this paves a leeway for the contraction of the virus. As a result, the number of visitors should be reduced at the hospital to help in social distancing. Additionally, staff members are not immune to the practices as well. Leaders at the hospital should pay a greater concern in educating the colleagues on the need for social distancing at work. Through this, staff members, and the visitors will have minimal chances of contracting the deadly virus from the hospital premises.
The World Health Organization outlined that more than 3500 health workers in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, posing a greater challenge to the healthcare system. As a result, the protection of health staff is becoming curtail as ever, as they represent the front line in battling with the virus. The hospital is working with third party hygiene companies to help improve the degree of sanitation at the facility. The alarming cases of COVID-19 in the US have forced many healthcare facilities to brace for the possibilities of nurses and other staff members from contracting the virus. As a result, the facility has taken into consideration the measure of hygiene and social distancing to help protect the staff members from contaminating the virus. According to American Hospital Association, health workers dealing with COVID-19 are trained to help protect themselves, and the spread of the virus. As a result, the facility is gradually incorporating these measures to help train nurses on protecting their health and for their beloved ones.
In the bottom line would like to thank every member of our team for showing his or her brave skills in fighting against the deadly virus. I would like to assure every staff member that the spread of COVID-19 can be controlled by following the outlined measures. Subsequently, most of the members have fully adhered to them, since the first cases were reported in the nation. The administration is fully working around the clock to provide all the necessary resources for the safety of its staff members.
