Introduction
Chief criminal prosecutor from the office of the district attorney is expected to take action to dismantle the bikers club gang that terrorizes. The group has sometimes proved to be a headache to the local police department. The task force formation that included the chief Criminal prosecutor with advice from the chief of police was a step well taken. The task force was expected to come up with solutions to the biker's menace that has made the lives of people in the virtual city unbearable. It is the expectation of the chief criminal prosecutor that the report generated by the taskforce will be implementation. However, if the story is not adopted, the inaction will hurt him.
Accusations of Supporting the Vice
If the solution presented by the Chief Criminal Prosecutor's group is not adopted, he might get the perception of as a person with less convincing power. It will bring to question his ability to present cases before the court if he cannot convince his colleagues. Colleagues expect the chief criminal prosecutor to satisfy the adoption of his views on the report. He has more authority in the prosecution of criminal cases and should be able to persuade others to adopt the report endorsed by him (Rakoff & Goldstein).
Retaliation
Failure to adopt a report in which the chief criminal prosecutor participated in will expose the security sector to the biker's gang. The gang will view the security agents as incapable of agreeing on anything and will think they are more united and stronger than the players in the security sector. Failure to adopt the task force report might make the group bold enough even to attack the chief public prosecutor. They may view as being against them and inciting the other security agents to arrest or kill them (Siegel & Worrall, 2018). Failure to adopt the report will mean that the criminal activities of the group will continue which may put the lives of security sector players, including the chief criminal prosecutor in danger.
Negative Public Image
The public has high expectation towards the taskforce. They expect that the taskforce has men and women of integrity and who has the right experience to deal with the criminal gang of bikers terrorizing their beloved city. Failure by the chief criminal prosecutor to have the report adopted will be a disappointment to the residents of the town. It will mean that the criminal gang will have more time to do as they like against the norms and expectation of the city dwellers. Those who have the authority need to work together in harmony to ensure that they provide the best solution to the menace of the biker's gang is provided (Rakoff & Goldstein). The criminal justice system should be able to ensure that the virtual city dwellers get justice. It will confirm that they have a fully functional government in place that can adequately handle the issues of criminal gangs in the city. Failure to adopt the report will taint the image of the chief criminal prosecutor in the eyes of the city dwellers and the public in general. A right name is better than a bad name.
Conclusion
The report from the task force was expected to provide solutions to the insecurity problem experienced in the virtual city caused by the biker's gang. The chief criminal prosecutor was part of the task force. Failure or success in the adoption of the report will build or destroy his image as a chief criminal prosecutor.
