The capacity to network with people and also develop influence will be critical in making my ability in medicine to progress and reach my career goals. Lastly, although the career goal in the medical field is to improve the quality of life of the patients and being responsible for the action taken, there is also an essential aspect to put into consideration. The financial gain is another short- and long-term goal to improve my living standard in the future (Macaulay et al., 2007, p719). These financial gains may not be compared to other professions, but there is a possibility of inherent stability because it is not susceptible to the downfall, as seen in other careers in the world.

However, the primary factor that needs to establish is how to use the studies to achieve these plans. Different variables can be considered and put into practice as a medical student. Substantially, this means that it will be necessary to study hard in school and also join programs such as the HMX courses at Harvard to boost my skills and knowledge towards the field. Similarly, the other objective would also be to nurture my leadership role for both the community of the practice to assist in formulating and maintaining health care principles and advancements.

In general, these are some of my major concerns in future career and academic goals that are tied to the need to improving my knowledge and skills in medicine. Given a chance to participate in HMX programs at Harvard will be a privilege to a path of achieving my future goals and objectives in the medical career. Besides, doing such programs earlier is better to broaden the understanding of an individual in different perspectives of the studies. For instance, learning clinical case studies would assist me in focusing at the peak level of my studies to achieve the desired grades to graduate in the future as a doctor. These are some of the skills that can be gained through such programs and applied in practice in hospitals as a doctor.
