In my presentation today, I am going to tackle gender inequality in the nursing profession in general. Firstly, the ratio of men and women in the nursing profession. Secondly, salary differences in gender within the profession. The union and nurses’ employers on gender sensitivity on employment. Finally, the nursing school intakes in the gender balance.

I am a finalist student in nursing school. I have been equipped with enough skills in my nursing studies and have primary information with clear background in the nursing sector. I am certain about the quality of my presentation. I hope you will enjoy it.

Gender Inequality in Nursing

First and foremost, the general number of men in the nursing profession is a 1/3 of the general employees in the sector. Men prefer pink-collar jobs rather than white-collar jobs. I suppose many of you have been sick in a way and have attended hospital for treatment. To ascertain this for the sure majority are women in the nurses' wards. In the payroll of the nurses’ job group, 75% are women (Arroyo-Laguna, 2020). Men feel embarrassed in the mortality sector wards, and also the patience prefers being handle by women. However, in the dynamic changing world, men are finding other jobs more competitive and are now shifting to nursing at an increase of 13% as the society stereotypes hedging job discrimination in men. With grasping that we are moving to the next point.

Secondly, the salary and wage difference in gender basis in the nursing profession is of high discrimination. Despite women being the majority in the nursing sector, men are paid dearly. It is necessary to discuss the payment difference on gender basis in nursing job groups (Greene et al., 2017). With no basis in that, women and men are working in the same environment and women imputing the energy directly proportional to men in the nursing jobs but are discriminated against on wages payment. Statistics show that wages difference of 8.2% margin (Yao et al., 2018). it is great salary discrimination. For proper management in a job and hedge resistance of workers, equality should be upheld with that in your figure tips. We are moving to the third point and the final.

Finally, in the intake of the nursing students being enclosed to the nursing school, the ratio is unbiased. More women enroll in nursing school, and the aluta continues to the job enrolment where more women have attained the nursing criteria to meet job demands and are employed in the tyranny of numbers. Statistical over 60% of the enrollment is women (Bacon & Stewart, 2016). It is gender inequality. Human capacity is equal, and they should enroll 50% men and 50% women to keep the interactions in job lively and motivate employees (Arroyo-Laguna, 2020). In all mean equality in gender balance should be emphasized in the nursing profession.

Conclusion

In general, we have seen men preferring white-collar jobs than pink-collar jobs like nursing. Gender discrimination in wages imbalance in nurses. The women being the majority in the nursing profession enrollment. Generally, gender equality and supporting the girl child need to be emphasized in society. Women balancing jobs and their responsibility for their families need some favor in the job and motivation like an additional salary. However, equality and uniformity should be the key to the nursing organization with the support of government policies.
